Dark flare spam?? all the templars i have faced the past 2 weeks have done is spam blazing shield and biting jabs:D

im serious too. I have not faced one templar the past two weeks that did something besides spamming blazing shield and biting jabs. they are entertaining to fight, but the damage shield stacking gets old.

so what is dark flare, that ranged attack that takes time to cast? i recall seeing it in BwB before i went to had facing waves of AD jab spamming templars.

You do realize that blazing shield is really the only templar skill that gets stronger with more people around, and blinding flashes + puncturing sweep can dominate melee combat if done properly. If done poorly you may as well be playing a horse simulator.

i am fully aware of the poor state of templars right now, which is why i dont complain about biting jabs and blazing shield spam as much as i do other things.

    Receiving that special treatment.
All player who's entire build is built around a broken skill complaining about another broken skill being used on him. This is what we call irony kids. Krim I wonder what you'll do in 1.6 when they fix sap essence to max 6 targets?? Unsub? Lol

Dark Flare is a big part of my setup. But now I don't feel like I can use it even once without people getting bent out shape.

Same. Rarely has Dark Flare not been on my Templars bar, and I didn't know it was stacking until last week. I also didn't know it was being widely used until this thread, I'm typically the only temp in my groups that run it. I do still use it a lot, but am careful about targeting now and try not to nail anybody more than once.

Dark flare is like serving a volley ball to a Tasmanian devil high on crack . By the time it arrives the fights over . I can cast Dark Flare , go make coffee , check the mail and get off hold with Walmart customer service in time to see it land .

I don't get that spam part, considering how slow the skill is. It's so slow one actually has to time it and start casting when DK in target flaps wings for it to land just as the scales wear off.
Frankly, I do not get that stacking part neither, because that would imply several shots in a row without being sniped to death while standing and..."spamming", as they put it...Dark Flare.
The skill needs to be reworked. At the very least they should rename it to Daaaaark Flaaaaare, so newbie templars would get better picture of what is the skill like.

Its a tactic being used in large scale battles to take down tanky opponents fast. Since it stacks it gets to a point where your heals reach zero.
