Global Auction addon, is it allowed? (ZOS - need your answer)

My friend has an idea for an global auction house addon and found out it was already made it was called ESO Outpost
this is a very usefull idea, IMO
But the site was shutdown and the addon was discontinued.

Looks like ZoS really doesn't want an addon like this.
It was in early stages where they didn't have an external program to upload it to the site. You could link your item and than post it on the site. Thing is it was shutdown.
I wonder who shut it down? (sarcasm)
The addon was updated last month though and you can use the addon with some errors because of the new patch but yah the site is gone which makes me believe that ZoS shut it down.

Barik✭✭✭nah dude they had a facebook and everything. They advertised to alot of sites. If you google Eso Outpost at the bottom you can see on the second to last link "ESO Outpost / Trade #1,144"
the site WAS up and running.
ESO has a stance with not wanting to unbalance their economy. Even though only less than 1% of the players were using it... which wouldn't have unbalanced anything it would have probably gotten really big....

Barik✭✭✭Hopefully in a some form they make a larger base of people to sell to than 2500 max. Because MOST people don't have 5 Merchant Guilds with all active players. And it's more like they have 1200 people when 1/3 people not selling, 1/3 people not active.1

It was ZOS who shut it down, they can not, they can however make api changes who makes the mod stop working.
Note that running this action server you some serious options to play the marked as you have access to the raw data and can choose that to do with it.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Zam is a company, making money with all the 'head' sites, esohead,wowhead, whateverhead...
They didn't make enough money with eso so they stopped all actions related to eso. The sites are online but there are no more updates. When only a few use
Those sites it means no advertisments sold, no money gained.
Zam is a company, it's really that simple.
Edit: Just to add a thing, a global auction house is not wanted by ZOS, and many
Players also don't like them. There has been a lot of threads and polls

Honestly the way I see it is YES, you can make a addon like this BUT!
BUT- You have to make certain precautions to make sure the addon does not connect "too many people."
If only 3000-5000 people where using the addon thats fine but once you get over 10k users you need to implement a system that stops everyone from trading with everyone as it directly goes against the developers wishes and design.
WHEN IT GETS BIG: make it so people's ads are displayed only when they are online the same time you are.

Think of how all the next "updates" will play out.
Justice system, introduce lag in cities due to guys standing around impulseing guards.
Imperial city, epic, huge battles? Pvp is a lag filled circle jerk now, so let's make more of that=win?
Champion system? How many "new" systems are there going to be? If it's going to be so great, why wasn't it done at release, or is it something they just threw together in the last six months hoping it would stick since people blew through the content and maxed out toons faster than they thought was possible,and they needed a fast way to implement a sense of advancement.
Spellcrafting? Why more magic ***. Again with stuff that should have shipped with first release. Does it dawn on people that maybe the reason everyone and their dog runs a magic build is because it's op? And this will help how? Get ready for more must have in order to run with us in trials crap.
To me, the more and more they try to make this game more ElderScrollsish, they further away it gets.
Pvp? In my opinion, They need two servers, regular and open world pvp, and make Cyrodil just another part of the map and let us fight like it's a real war. Is it me or what but outside the pvp area, absolutely nobody in the towns even mention a huge epic war going on, or see armies gearing up, or sawmills making siege equipment.

My thought exactly. As the times goes by I see less and less proof that this mega server is any better than normal server architecture. It offers us nothing more than all other MMOs without it.2 -

Site was shutdown because nobody was using it, because nobody wanted to go through the trouble of manually uploading things and the people who did (like myself) hardly ever sold anything.
Plus the UI of the website wasn't user friendly.
And good luck having someone install a third party program in their PC to automatically upload stuff to the website, I know I won't unless the source code is available and I can compile it myself, which most people won't do.
