Anyone using SweetFX with eso? Could use some help

A guildie suggested trying SweetFX and now I can't even remember who recommended it, so hoping I can find some help here.

I have Windows 7 64-bit and I've tried SweetFX 1.5 manual setup and the SweetFX Configurator with 1.5 included found on Guru's site. The presets I have tried are Setka's, NeatPerfection (might be the same), and one by JesusR o_O. Also tried the included torchlight setting.

Everytime I use the launcher I get a crash with error code 16. I have tried repairing and removing the dx9 files. I've also launched the game through the SweetFX configurator with no difference. The files are dropped directly in the eso.exe folder.

Any advice?

    I used to use Radeon Pro but it stopped working with it. So do the basic set up using this way but without the Radeon Pro parts. Then download the presets and put them right into the SweetFx settings.

    You mean to try method 1 right (1.5)? The one without Radeon requirements, cuz that's what I did and still error 16.

    Or do u mean use 1.4 just with no Radeon?

    Dang trying to remember now. I think 1.4 without Radeon pro. You may have to delete all ZOS stuff and reinstall if you can't get rid of the error

    I would like to get sweet fx working too. Some neat things can be done to make the game prettier and more to individual taste.

    I used it when I was playing Skyrim and I would like to get it set up for ESO.

    Anyone have a good and easy guide? From what I read, unlike Skyrim, ESO is a pretty large pain in the donkey to set up.

    Ok I'm trying to remember how I did it and I think I remember.

    Download Sweet FX.

    Extract it.
    Take the Sweet FX folder and drop it into Elder Scrolls Online >game>Client

    take all the D3D9.DLL ionjector log presets settings and everything into the client area also.

    Download the Presets and put them into a separate folder.

    Open the preset copy all

    Open SweetFX Settings and paste and then save it

    If you have trouble message me a Skype name and I will try to help you out.

    After a long night of trying to figure this out, figured I might as well post what worked for me in case anyone else needs it. For whatever reason my install was not working correctly. I was trying to use the SweetFX 1.5 that does not require RadeonPro and it always gave error 16 on launch from the client. Tried moving around/deleting d3d9 files, repairing launcher, bypassing launcher, updating my user settings between d3d9 and d3d11 to no avail. Blah Blah.

    What worked:
    Now the fun:
    • Make RadeonPro look for the sweetfx 1.5 folder on your desktop
    • Import settings for whatever preset you wish to try through the Sweetfx tab on RadeonPro
    • Go to desktop and open the 1.4 folder Sweetfx/Shaders and copy file Main.h
    • Go to the same folder in 1.5 and remove Main.h and paste in the 1.4 version
    • Wala should be able to enjoy Sweetfx now

    @ers101284b14_ESO, thank you again for sitting on Skype to help me go through boring folders! :D

    lol maybe its computer settings but i don't see how people could be having such trouble with this.
    ESOLauncher + SweetFX page of Tamriel, the second one made has the 2 files you need. I guess if you were to get Raedon Pro it would complicate things a lot.
    All i had to do was drop the 2 files from this page
    http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/eso-launcher-graphics-enhancer-2/
    Into my client folder and that was it! (without running the game with Raedon Pro)
    - Getting Raedon Pro complicates things a lot more... and are the graphical upgrades aren't that much better on Raedon Pro version anyway?

    I have no idea why I get the error but a friend got the error as well today. The instructions for 1.5 are very simple and work for some people just not me lol. So using RadeonPro was the only way I could get past Fatal Error 16 :P

    RadeonPro wasn't the problem, it was the solution...for me anyways :P

    P.S those screenshots that compare the game are NOTHING compared to how much better it actually looks and feels. Whoever did those screenshots just didn't want to hype it much or something but it looks even better ingame.
    For me anyway with a GTX760

    Ah so it does not work with dx 11, only dx 9?

    Compatible with dx 9, 10, and 11 so if you have one of those your fine.

    @Barik, yeah everything is so much more wow with this on, what preset you using?

    One custom thing I did (if your graphics card can handle it)
    search for: EnableLowQualityModels=true
    and turn it to EnableLowQualityModels=false

    Theres another one settings that removes the distance blur but I forgot how I did that

    Hey there so after you asked me what preset i was using i looked for some presets and OMG!!!!
    YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS ONE!
    http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1573/

    All you need to do is download the preset, make sure its renamed to SweetFX_Setting.txt and replace it with the old one.
    Don't worry about downloading anything else cause the SweetFX that comes with ESOLauncher is already 1.5.1

    One thing I will recommend changing in this preset,depending on personal preferences and your monitor, is going to this line:
    #define Vibrance 0.150

    For me it was WAY to colorful maybe its my screen settings, maybe the guy was a wow player, i dunno but I changed
    #define Vibrance 0.150
    to
    #define Vibrance -0.35

    This is definitely my favorite preset now!

    I can't find that line anywhere in my UserSettings.txt

    Ohh sorry that's because that's for ESOLauncher which removes fog and increased draw distance to make world feel more open and vast.

    However defintly take a look at this preset:
    http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1573/
    If you are using SweetFX this is my favorite preset just make sure to turn
    #define Vibrance 0.150 to a lower number like #define Vibrance -0.35

    Yeah that's the one I was using yesterday and I'm giving setka's a go now. Subtle but really nice change. I'll try that change on the vibrance when i switch back...everything was a bit overly colorful for me too

    Thanx for the advice :-D
