What happens if I ignore the initial Undaunted quest ?

I think that is what happened on my now, V2 DK. I don't think I ever finished the initial group dungeon quest and probably abandoned it at some point to make room for other quests.

Now, it seems, I'm unable to pick up any of the daily quests. And I can't seem to figure out where to pick up the initial Undaunted quest.

My faction is DC. Should I be able to go back to the normal zone, or find a vet quest somewhere that I'm not seeing ?

The initial Undaunted quest for DC is picked up in the Daggerfall Inn from the Undaunted sitting around a table. The quest is for Spindleclutch.

Do you have the undaunted skill line?
No: visit tavern in Daggerfall.
Yes: you should got a letter after 1.5 introducing the pledges. Without this letter try visiting undaunted camp at westgate of Wayrest or ask ingame using /help for getting back this letter.

I do have the Undaunted skill line. I'm assuming that I have the line because I picked up that quest, but never did anything with it. I don't see the letter, but I visited the camp and didn't see any options to pick up a quest or letter.

I went back to Glenumbra and found the initial quest at lvl 12 for Spindleclutch. Maybe if I complete that it will open up some options. If not, I will try the /help in game

It doesn't matter whether you ignore it. Also, you don't need to complete a group dungeon to complete the initial quest to join the Undaunted. The quest stage (for the DC version of the Undaunted questline) says "Enter Spindleclutch". That is literally all you have to do. Enter the dungeon solo, the queststage/marker will update to tell you to talk to the Undaunted person in Daggerfall - then you can exit the dungeon without completing it and go and finish the quest to join the Undaunted. If you no longer have that quest, then the questgiver (Mighty Mordra I think?) is in the tavern near the wayshrine in Daggerfall

To get the pledges is a little different, and doesn't need you to have done ^ this above (I had 2 characters who had not done that but still got the quest that allows you to do pledges!) At level 45 (or if you were above lvl 45 when the pledges were added to the game) you get an in-game mail with a letter that starts the quest to sign up for pledges.

Edit: Is it possible that you got the mail for the pledges and opened the letter on a different character? I am not sure how that would turn out. If you do not have the mail/letter and are above lvl 45, I'd recommend putting in a support ticket in-game.

You'll end up like me, VR7 but level 2 undaunted because the game never bothered to explain what that was all about or even what the purpose of it was. *** poor quest design really.

Still can't pick up any of the daily undaunted pledges. I went back to Spindle and entered the zone, left without completing and was able to go back to Glenumbra to complete the initial quest.

Submitted a ticket, because nothing has changed, and I don't have any invitation in the mail or in my inventory.

I'm not going to play this character anymore until the issue is resolved

Each new character should get mail. make alt, get mail, open it with the character that needs it. I assume that should work unless you don't get letter on new toons until after first quest. I got multiples from logging into alts

Go to Wayrest and sign the book at the undaunted enclave. You don't even need the letter or associated quest.

You don't get the mail with the letter until lvl 45.

Yesterday, almost 5 hours after I submitted a /help ticket for this issue, a Gamemaster contacted me. He ported me to the Enclave that I have been checking every day, and poof. Magically working.

I appreciate the help, in game, but it was purely coincidental that I happened to still be online at the time I was contacted. Long wait times aside, it would be helpful if there was some form of communication ahead of time. Maybe an automated system response, once I've been officially put into a queue waiting for assistance. And possibly occasional updates on how many people are ahead of me. Just a thought..
