When you're in third, who cares about first?
To be perfectly honest. They played it perfectly in the last cycle. They got to 2nd by screwing DC hard near the end, letting EP do pretty much what they wanted so long as AD had their own scrolls. They got out of the gutter and took 2nd from DC.
i was actually in the group that hit the scroll. i didnt agree with it either tbh. but im a firm believer in you dont question crown when crown is leading. so i just snared and swore not to heal or do damage. that way i helped and didnt help at the same time. i know thats a very french decision to just sit on the fence but i honestly had no valid choice. i didnt like the call but the call was made. if you ended up encased it was probably me. sorry =/

If you read medical literature, there are quite a few cases where doctors have operated on the wrong organ or performed the wrong procedure. In each of these cases, at least one of the nurses thought the doctor was doing the wrong thing, but did not have the courage to speak up.
That's why little Johnny is dead because the doctor removed the healthy kidney instead of the bad one. Thanks for killing little Johnny.

It does make sense. If they want to catch up to second, they need their scrolls returned and giving them points before you get yours.
If you ONLY think about it from a 'Screw EP' sense, then it's not a great move, but if you think about it from 'how does AD move up the scoreboard' then the smart move is to inhibit your gains from the double team on red.
Following the Guild Wars 2 rotation of whom hits whom (since they have a similar leaderboard for their 3 way war), then it's 3rd place hits 2nd (to get 2nd), 2nd hits 1st (to get to first), and 1st hits 2nd (to stay first). If they play completely selfishly, AD should aid in hitting EP only so far as it gets their scrolls back, and then interfere when blue is getting theres (in hopes of co-opting those scrolls/keeps for their own).
If you just want to be spiteful, then yeah, let blue do their thing.

Thank you agrippa for explaining the strategic scoring point of this,

i wouldnt say its about courage man. i would say its about discipline, spent several years over sea's and had to deal with leaders making quite a few wrong calls in the heat of the moment. Its learning from their calls and their decisions so you can be a better leader than them. But whatever we can sit here all day comparing a video game to real life situations. its really not a big deal as EP stayed pop locked until 2am pac time. they could of took the scroll back at wills7732425ub17_ESO wrote: »i was actually in the group that hit the scroll. i didnt agree with it either tbh. but im a firm believer in you dont question crown when crown is leading. so i just snared and swore not to heal or do damage. that way i helped and didnt help at the same time. i know thats a very french decision to just sit on the fence but i honestly had no valid choice. i didnt like the call but the call was made. if you ended up encased it was probably me. sorry =/
