1.7 what changes to expect

Ok so with the little bit of information we have so far on 1.7 mixed with random posts
lets toss some things around.7 changes coming in 1.7/1.8.....

1.champion system: pretty cool in theory as we become more elite....Don't count on it!! What you will see is vet 14 scaled back to level 50 and then able to add points into a series of skill trees as it were to boost back up stats. Now there will be some that will help players to achieve competitive builds in what are not as strong as some would like ,i.e. increase health, damage types maybe spell power etc all to help bring you back to where you may already be.

2.Forced balance: I see a lot of people really excited about the removal of soft caps to increase dps or other functions greatly. Don't count on it!!! with the removal of soft caps you will also see a huge drop in, wait for it HARD CAPS. The norm right now for most competitive dps is crit stacking with a shadow mundus for extra crit damage. Expect this to come in line with most mmos where base stats have more weight than the zerg stats...look for cap around 35-40% to help balance out the meters so more people can "play their way". But still not you 1h/s dps guy wondering why your left out. Was that post for real?

3.PVP: I have seen a few posts on the continually shrinking numbers on pvp servers.
I am sure zos has to and really only 2 viable options for them so you should expect the following. 1.The removal of pvp buffs in pve to eliminate the faction buff servers, 2.a reduction in pvp campaigns to also remove buff servers and even if only 2 campaigns are up that leaves pvp as a priority for min/maxers to chase stats, however I would not count on this as it would require a much better server than the current to reduce crashes and other issues some comp related and other server.
And option.

4.Class revamp: so with zos releasing some info on skill changes such as the dk reflective scales change lets look at some of the others...1st off if you missed it reflective scale will now be up for 4 secs or 4 projectiles, all staff abilities will now scale with magicka so spells like crushing shock and healing springs will now be used my magicka builds making crushing shock the most spammed spell in the game as it is low cost bypasses 40% armor and gives magicka on return while using elemental drain plus it adds 3 types of damage to help out with dam resist mobs. Dragonknights can expect a damage reduction as the the mobs which have all been restated will now have increased resist to flame damage and the mobs that used to take more flame dam will no longer be any weaker to that sole type of damage.

5.Armor revamp: That's right ,rolling out new armor passives in this major update to basically in a nutshell nerf light armor who can expect a reduction to the spell pen and the magicka regen ,medium armor will be buffed with a massive buff to dodge/roll/cc break cost and heavy who knows.

6.Animations: there will be new ,much nicer more powerful looking animations to replace many that are currently ingame to do two things...increase the feel of living the dream but also to remove animation cancelling....THATS RIGHT, expect these new animations to cast abit differently but hide a global cd to aswell as bash/block to also eliminate to cancel system. Let me be clear..you can still spam block/bash/light attk w/e but the actual spells used to cancel will no longer fire off until completed and with the exception of things with longer than 1 sec cast time can not be cancelled and will complete fully before damage is added and any other action can take place.

7.provisioning: will now allow the use of both food and drink buffs to stack as so to help with the stat loss of the veteran levels...

so these are just a few of the things you should expect to see come 1.7 and 1.8 and you should be very excited about the changes. To be fair it is a big overhaul and many people who would normally be designing new pets or mounts to buy have had to but that on hold to help move these changes along and it seems to some to be good and some bad. I however enjoy the game very much and hope they continue to improve these aspects and many more. To the the devs I thank you for your time and information and to the players enjoy the 20 mins you just spent reading!!!

P.S. I DID NOT SAY ALL INFO LISTED IS FROM A SOURCE A ZEN,HOWEVER DID THEY SAY IT WASNT?

You people and your speculation. 1.6 isn't even out yet. Let them iron out the 14,000 bugs that it is going to introduce first before even worrying about 1.7.

As I understood it, the class and armor revamps, as well as the removal of softcaps are part of the Champion system, which supposedly re-balances everything.
I also thought that the provisioning revamp was coming in update 6.

    So, 6 or 7?

I don't know about others, but I haven't noticed any bugs in months..

If I put in the same perspective Draenor which launched a month ago..the game was unplayable for 3 weeks..it's still riddled with bugs..Also I have a friend of mine that is a hardcore raider there, and their whole servers isn't able to raid after 1 week and counting! What makes it worse, Draenor is just an expansion not a game launch. So try to consider how worse other MMOs are doing when you blame it on ZOS.

Update 6 is not out yet, it's pointless to predict what will we able to see in update 7. Though I'm pretty sure Imperial City is coming, and probably justice system phase 2.

    The announcement that:
    • Champion System is being replaced as it doesn't work as expected
    • PvP part of the Justice system will be delayed while we work out how to fix the chaos part 1 caused
    • Justice system rework 'cos players use it in ways we did not expect
    • The UI is fine & there are no bugs left to squash
    • Murkmire, where all quests are 8-16 player groups only

Hehe. So many groups have to reform every day because of this one. I'm kind of getting used to it now, just like being stuck in a loading screen, it's part of ESO's magic. :D

Most of your "speculation" is actually coming in 1.6.
    Here's a more realistic guess:
    • Update 7 is going to be a PvP-focused update, and the last major update before ESO releases on consoles. It will come on ESO's first anniversary, on Monday 30th March 2015.
    It will contain:
    • Champion System Phase 4 - Veteran Levels have been removed from the game, and the level cap is now 50. All endgame content, including Cadwell's quests, Trials and Adventure Zones are now open at Level 50. The first gear season has begun.
    • Imperial City - Fight your way through the crown city of Cyrodiil, dominated by the minions of Molag Bal and the ultimate prize in the Three Banners War.
    • New Armor Set - Xivkyn, exclusive to crafting stations in the Imperial City.
    • Spellcrafting - Travel through ancient ruins and crumbling shrines to unlock the secrets of spellcrafting, an all-new crafting skill.
    • Justice System Phase 2 - Pick the side of Enforcer or Outlaw and defeat all enemies who oppose your beliefs. You can now raid Outlaw hideouts as an Enforcer or Enforcer towers as an Outlaw, and you can battle players of the opposing organization in any zone.
    • All remaining delves in the game have been expanded.
    • Horse Racing - Prove who's steed is the best in the new horse racing side activity!
    • New faction-exclusive mounts - Guar, Senche-Tiger and Warhorse mounts are exclusively available to Ebonheart Pact, Aldmeri Dominion and Daggerfall Covenant players, respectively.
    • Improvements and fixes to grouping, LFG and general player-to-player interaction.
    • Of course, with a new patch comes new bugs!

Yes I wrote it in PR-Speak, just because :P

Here's my guess for the first major update that console players will be getting. Since all of the new systems have been fully implemented by this point, ZOS can focus more on new content and stabilize the update schedule a bit more.

    UPDATE 8:
    • Wrothgar and Murkmire - Two new zones are unlocked for exploration! Wander the bogs and grassy uplands of Murkmire and traverse the icy, craggy tundra of Wrothgar, designed for Level 50 players.
    • New raids (Random Names) - The Shrine of Sithis and Blackwater Keep, in Murkmire.
    • New Solo Dungeon - Orsinium Catacombs
    • New Veteran Dungeon - Arx Corinium
    • Gear Season 2.
    • The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild - Join an infamous group of assassins and a band of master thieves, complete with their own storylines.

@Cherryblossom Hold up there, cowboy. Remember that all of what I said is mere speculation. We know nothing of Updates 7 and 8, but most of what I speculated is 99% likely to appear in the patch imo. Don't get your hopes up, though. We'll have to wait and see.

Considering how close you were with your predictions for Update 6 in that other thread, I'm inclined to agree with many of your suggestions again.

    Let's break it down :)
    Update 7:
    • Champion System Phase 4 - Possibly, as with Phase 3 coming in 6 it would be good to be rid of the old system completely. Although they may want to wait a bit longer to see how the systems work together. All endgame content, including Cadwell's quests, Trials and Adventure Zones are now open at Level 50. I would love that to be the case. See my other posts in other places about these things :)
    • Imperial City - Highly likely, considering it's not in 6. If they don't put it in 7, I think a lot of people will just give up on the game completely.
    • Xivkyn - Confirmed to be with Imperial City.
    • Spellcrafting - Possible, but I think they may leave this a bit longer to go with a more PvE-centred update.
    • Justice System Phase 2 - Likely, as I think they will bring this along with Imperial City since it's also PvP-focused.
    • All Remaining Delves - Possibly; this will at least bring the updates for the Tier 2 delves if they continue at the same rate they have been going at so far.
    • Horse Racing - The icon for this is in the data files already, so it's definitely on the way. They may leave this for a PvE-centred update though.
    • Faction mounts - Interesting idea; I know guar are on the way, but I'm not sure about the others. Bringing these with the PvP update could make sense given the wide scope of Cyrodiil.
    • Improvements, fixes, and bugs - Absolutely!

    Update 8:
    • Wrothgar and Murkmire - I don't think they'll be appearing at the same time, but I'd love to be proved wrong. We know more about the storyline of Wrothgar right now, so I expect that to be first. Murkmire maybe in Update 10 or 11.
    • New Raids - With Murkmire.
    • Solo Dungeon - That would be interesting, and would fit well with Wrothgar's setup as a solo zone. Nice idea!
    • Arx Corinium - Probably. It's the next in the list and this is 3 updates after City of Ash.
    • Gear Season 2 - Likely with Murkmire.
    • Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild - I don't think they'll be appearing at the same time as either Wrothgar or Murkmire. Maybe in Update 9, along with Spellcrafting and Poisons.

Not expecting that much by update. But we might see Imperial city in Update7 and a new Vet Dungeon in Update8.

I believe Spellcrafting is still far far far away!
