Doing more damage won't change anything when the pet still dies almost instantly to everything ever in a Trial of VR dungeon. This would probably screw up PvP even more while doing almost nothing in PvE (end game wise).sorcs have it pretty bad in PvE right now

Yah pets need better survival then more DPS

noticeably AI improvements, you can heal pets like other players but now they are so stupid they suffer EVERY AOE combat can fling at them, its bad enough that one of them only has around 1.4k hp at VR14. Simply Put, their survivability issues lie in the weak NPC AI....
They could max out their armor or spell resist, but unless they made them 100% immune to damage they would still get killed easily simply because they cannot and will not avoid AOEs..
there is 0% chance of Zenimax putting in a freaking effort to improve the AI, at least not anytime soon... and even if they did, currently the damage is so minimal that they would not be worth the slot even if they were to make them immune to damage.
Right now the easiest thing they can do is my suggestion, then when they have more time work on AOE avoidance in the AI. Combine those 2 and the pets will be quite effective in combat.
For AI improvements...
Twilight should always prioritieze staying at range from targets active attacking it, like NPC archers and casters.
Both Pets should Prioritize moving out of AOE.
if they did this, and the DPS buff, the Pets would be worth having out in trials and Dungeons...
but for now, again, i would just like the simple DPS buff.... if i can get a extra 200-300 DPS just from having them out i would be happy for now..
I agree. Maybe immunity to AOE damage for pets could help. It wouldn't change 1v1 in PVP and would prevent pets from insta-dying in PVE content.Doing more damage won't change anything when the pet still dies almost instantly to everything ever in a Trial of VR dungeon. Go after the sorcerer and the pets smash your face in. Go after the pets and the sorcerer smashes your face in. Also, stuns don't last forever last time I checked.im pretty sure pets doing respectable damage will have no effect on PvP considering all any PvPer has to do is any stun and its basically removed from combat.
Failing all other solutions, I wouldn't mind the aoe immunity. But, that seems like a half-wow-assed fix. I'd rather ZOS make pets better in a way that adds something to the class, instead of just 'making it work'.I agree. Maybe immunity to AOE damage for pets could help. Resummoning (I assume you mean 'resummon' when you say 'call your pet back', correct me if I'm wrong) the Winged Twilight takes a good second or so, which 1) Takes away time from your own dpsing/whatever, and 2) Is probably a waste of time as the thing will just die instantly within the next 10 seconds after doing very little damage.I really do not have a big problem with the AoE you can just call your pet back to you...morph choice to make a tank or DPS summon

Off the top of my head, they might be able to work something into the Rebate passive. Every time your pet dies, you gain x magicka back, x damage boost, and your next pet summon w/in 5 seconds is low cost and instant. Admittedly I'm not a fan of the idea of constantly resummoning a pet, but that's the type of in-depth fix I'd like to see. Maybe working in the other morph of the Daedra summoning tree into the rotation somehow. Increase the shield by 100% (or 200? I don't recall how much health a pet has) on pets, and then the morph gives them ~30% increased damage while it is up. Have it last 25-30 seconds or so on the pet so that it doesn't mess with keeping Crit Surge up.Resummoning (I assume you mean 'resummon' when you say 'call your pet back', correct me if I'm wrong) the Winged Twilight takes a good second or so, which 1) Takes away time from your own dpsing/whatever, and 2) Is probably a waste of time as the thing will just die instantly within the next 10 seconds after doing very little damage.I really do not have a big problem with the AoE you can just call your pet back to you...morph choice to make a tank or DPS summon
I would love it if the pet-heal could be useful while tanking though. That would make my day.
No i ment the pet control under control settings the let you bind a key to control your pet. So if its in a AoE make it run to you. And send it on the target again when AoE is over.
A small amount of micro management can do alot
