I'm still downloading my game. Bought a retail version where I work so I'm still at 8,000. But like the Imperial Armor, are there special sets other than just Iron Armor or Orichalcum armor? I'd love it if there was some ancient armor

Its a lots of sets, 15 racial ones for light, medium and heavy armor.
More fun design changes at higher level, typical looks more expensive.

its also an few unique dropped sets.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Look and style wise, you have Racial Styles. Which require to know a Motif to make something in that style. You already know your own race, but have to learn others. You learn them by finding and reading Motif Books. Blue ones are common, Purple ones are Rare, Gold ones (Imperial and Dwemer full book*) are something beyond rare.

There are also Dropped sets and most of them have the normal racial styles. Although some of the higher end ones are more unique.

Note, if you need any Motif books I have a ton and am selling them cheap.

*I have only seen a screenshot of loot for dwemer motifs and the chapters are purple, but there was a book that was gold. Don't know if you get the book when you get a chapter or all of the chapters or there is a book that has all the chapters at once.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

There are no unique "I'm a special snowflake, I have the only one" armor sets, however there are some rare ones that are either difficult or time-consuming to obtain.

It's a drop and it contains all chapters, so you learn them all at once instead of endlessly farming and trading for them.

Now that would be nice to find.

Also here's a few links to help you with gear choices.

    CRAFTED Gear.

    DROPPED Gear.

DUNGEON Gear (Including Undaunted Pledge Gear).

Not one of those listed sites is 100% accurate but they are a good go-to place to check if there's something you'd like to wear (stat wise) and to figure out how many Traits you will need to research in order to Craft what gear you want.

Yeah, even nicer if your metalworking perk isn't high enough level to read it yet, so you've been hoarding the pages :D.
