Just for the sake of discussion, any ideas for future classes or lore-friendly playable races?
I've always thought a class that could tame and handle animals would be a lot of fun. I'm having trouble thinking of any playable races though that would be lore friendly though unless they added "evil" races like maomer or daedra. Your thoughts?
I did a little research and some ideas might be the Lilmothiit (a fox race from Black Marsh though thought to be extinct) or Imga (an ape race from Valenwood).

✭✭There have been loads of suggestions in the past.
Classes suggested have been Necromancer, Wyrd (like a druid), Bard, and Monk.
Races suggested have been Akaiviri, Maormer, Lilmothit, Imga, and Falmer.
Most of the races have been shot down in these forums, and the classes are just as problematic.People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

✭✭✭✭✭We have the 9 classic races from the Lore, so it would really be hard to add anymore. Unless they resurrected the Sloads or the Falmer before they became blind (but that could have happened even before the timeline of this game). The Dwemer are gone so it makes no sense to bring them back. I don't see anyone wanting to be a Spriggan. Perhaps a Goblin, but the game world should be hostile to you for the most part. Daedra would be popular too with the peeps, but the game world would again be hostile to you, or should be. Then again, there are some friendly skeletons in the game, so that might be an option.
So, that just leaves us classes.
An animal whisperer type would be cool, the game already sets those against us (Hunters/Rangers who spawn bears and lions for example).
A Necromancer class would be awesome.
A Monk Class (unarmed and unarmored) would be cool, not sure about end game viability there but it's not always about the end game now is it?Edited by Nestor on December 3, 2014 9:45PMEnjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

No new classes please, give us new skill lines that alter how we play or characters.
Id list the skill lines, But they get routinely listed in the other dozens of class threads.2 -

It depends on how rigidly you define those classes. A member of the dark brotherhood could be any of the above classes, same with thieves guild, sword saint, wyrd, necromancer, dragonguard, bard, companion, etc.

Karius_Imalthar✭✭✭✭✭I definitely agree to skill lines but with ESO still being very new as far as some of the more successful MMOs go, it would be a shame to think that there is nowhere for them to ever go with classes at least. Just playing Molag Bal's advocate here but even with skills; you take some skills, level up, respec, and dump skills you no longer use. Your extensive skill tree has now been whittled down to 12 (assuming ultimates and no duplicates between bars) keys.0

Karius_Imalthar✭✭✭✭✭I read in one of the in-game books where they were wondering about the ability for human/mer/beast races to be able to conceive. There are certainly many examples of cross race couples in the game. Hmm... half-dremora?
