Within the next 6 months I believe. Everything in Quakecon was for a years worth of development. So by that time next year we should have it.0 -
Sleep✭✭✭✭Just wait for the update. The city is not there yet. Currently you will get killed by some sort of magic that protects the area even if you can get on the island. Many years ago I got into the water and keep jumping and I could actually avoid those fishes and get on the island but get killed immediately. A few days ago I got into the water and jump but still got killed by fish.0 -

All 3 factions will still be fighting in there but there will also be solo content also. WE still don't know all the details.0 -

From what I have read/heard:
-- Initial access to the city is granted when your alliance controls all six of its home keeps.
-- The city can be accessed via sewer entrances or wayshrine platforms in the various districts if your alliance controls that district and you have discovered it.
-- The sewers area will be an open PVP area for all factions that control their home keeps. Supposedly this area is massive and will serve as the initial and perhaps central PVP battlefield.
-- The above ground portion of the city contains at least four districts which can be controlled by factions much like keeps. How the districts change hands has not been announced; but the districts seem to be mostly PVE content areas. The four known districts are Arena, Arboretum, Market and Temple, all of which can be seen here:

-- The Imperial City Prison will be a 4 player Undaunted dungeon. I don't know if it will offer Normal, Veteran or both modes of the dungeon.
-- A new crafting style - Imperial Daedric - will be available in the city. I don't know if the new motif and materials are obtained via questing, farming, vendors or some other mechanism.
-- I think the Arena in the Arena district is a PVE arena and not a PVP arena; however the mechanics for this could have changed.
-- The White Gold Tower is NOT included in the initial release of the IC; but this may have changed since that statement was made months ago.
-- If your faction loses a home keep and you are in the city, you are not kicked out. You can remain for as long as you are alive and logged in. I think if you lose a home keep but maintain control of a district with its discovered shrine, I think you can enter the city but don't quote me on that.
