So folks,
I didn't play for a few weeks due work and just wanted to patch my game. It starts downloading a patch of about 380 MB and is currently at 10%.
However, after about 10 seconds the error comes up
Abort: Pointer is Null
and I need to restart the client and then it downloads for 10 seconds again only to give me the error again.
I am sure this has been bug fixed so what can I do? It must be something that came up for others in the last three weeks too, so if anyone could point me to the thread it would be great.
I want to point out that nothing on the PC was changed, as said about three works of no play or boot of the system, its still run as Admin etc.
So it must have to do with the patch that came.

Restarting the PC actually worked, no further steps were necessary. This was very easy to fix
