Is there any way to mod just the Inventory screen in ESO? Just something to help me sort through everything better. Like, in the Materials screen, everything from every crafting resource is jumbled in together. What you get is a really hard screen to read.

All I want is for all the Alchemy stuff to be together; all the Smithing stuff together; all the Provisioning stuff together; etc. Also, all the Daggers together; All the 2 Handed Maces together; all of the Heavy Armor together; etc.

To be honest, I wish this sort of thing would just be in the game as stock. Most MMO's don't handle inventory screens in this way. Usually, it's some kind of Block Allocation system like Diablo. And because of that - sorting is less of an issue. But, ESO does things differently - which I like much more - but it needs some Quality Of Life improvement. So... all I can hope for is a mod.

Is there anything out there like this?

I concur. The current system is not ideal for getting information to me. I would like to be able to check-box filter out (or in) materials that belong to a certain profession, as well as subtypes (processed, unprocessed, tier 1 wood, tier 3 metal, etc.)

I agree. I would also love to have an auto mark as junk function, customizable via an in- or out- of game config. I go around looting everything and spend about 10 minutes sorting through my bags when i get to a store. Items that "Sells to a merchant for gold" should just be junked on pickup, as with other items you don't want.

While not precisely what you are asking for, you may find that this addon can help some at least: Inventory Grid View.

@ShiftingDeath‌ Check out insJunkYard or Dustman.

In general, check out this section of the downloads, there are a lot of different inventory tweaks: Bags, Bank & Inventory.

I can't test it now, but from the description of Dustman, it is exactly what I've been yearning for. I'm just surprised that I didn't notice that one myself. Much appreciated, Cairenn!

I agree with the original post; there really need to be more sorting options. Perhaps all it would take for a modder is adding a column to the inventory (with Name, Value etc.)?

Please!! Someone make this!... how hard is it to learn to code? I would rather learn to make an addon to do this than constantly fight with my materials tab.

It's not hard to learn how to script. It is very hard to learn how to code well and takes many years of dedication. Many people just don't find it enjoyable and don't stick with it enough to gain. And there are equally enough people that just don't *get it*. It takes a certain, very logical, mindset that many people just have a hard time tapping into.

That said, I want to start working on a comprehensive addon for inventory management soon, similar in concept to Ark Inventory for WoW. This type of addon takes weeks just to get into a basic state though, and months to polish. Since this game just came out I have only been working on my Eyefinity Support addon, as since I use Nvidia Surround it was the most pressing issue to me as Zenimax didn't support it.

Any progress yet? I was thinking I would teach myself, but between work and class I just don't have the time.

i JUST finished writing an inventory filter addon, and am testing it now. i am also including options to mail items of a type in bulk to a player of choice automatically. hope to have it distributed on minion by end of week.

PS.. looks like i typed too soon, its not like advanced filters, but rather an 'auto-destroy' items of specific types and qualities. just to help with inventory filling up. i guess its more of an loot-filter when looting items.
