ETA on Wrothgar?

Hopefully this isn't strictly solo or strictly group. The game needs meaningful and rewarding daily quests that can be done by single players that at the very least reward things we really want, like blue, purple, and yellow tempers, reliably without massive RNG "fun."

Some new crafted sets would be great, as would some meaningful group content in a limited fashion.

Hopefully, this will also contain the bug fixes and class balancing that desperately needs to be done, too.

As much as I want Wrothgar - and I really do (and I still hope some truly difficult solo content is there that only a fraction of the population has the capability of completing without a significant commitment) - I also hope the champion system is 110% implemented before more landscape content is released. It seems like it would ve much less of a headache if that were the case.

If ZOS agrees that would put Wrothgar in to a Q1 - Q2 of '15 release timeframe ( assuming champion system role out in the next 1-3 updates).

Here's my guess. We will see it in Update 8.

Update 6 (late Dec. - early Jan.): less than a 5% chance of it being included
    Update 7 (Mid-Feb.): 15-20% chance
Update 8 (Late March): 40% chance
    Update 9 (May): 40% chance

The wild card here is the Champion System which is coming in Update 6. Grinding mobs, writs, Cyrodiil, Craglorn and dungeons are the only avenues of earning XP for VR14 players. Wrothgar would fill a massive gap as solo/duo players who refuse to grind or travel in Cyrodiil have almost no way to earn Champion Points in any effective manner. That could hasten the zone's release.

Wait how does update 8 and 9 have the same % chance? I mean at Quakecon they showed everything that was going to come out for the year so if its not in update 8 then wouldn't update 9 have a bigger chance? Also Champion was never actually confirmed for update 6 although I do hope it is.

CS was confirmed for Update 6 by Jessica in a twitch chat from the last ESO Live per reports.

I am guessing Update 7 is Justice System, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. That leaves a coin toss between Murkmire and Wrothgar for Update 8. I opted for Wrothgar in Update 8 because ZOS would be insane to release another group zone before releasing another solo zone. Then again, I think Murkmire will be a solo zone when it is released due to all of the Craglorn backlash.

I was in twitch and never her saw her say it so I gotta stick with unconfirmed on that one.Gina hinted at the UI of champion but if you watch her she says "Whats that bar does it have to do with the champion system? WE are going to try and have that in on update 6...The UI at least." so it could just be to show us how many points we have. Also I'm pretty sure Justice System and Dark Brotherhood are in separate updates not the same one. If I remember right they wanted the Justice System out for a bit before they did Dark Brotherhood.

It wasn't even close to being confirmed for update 6. When asked about it, she simply said "That's the plan", with no other information.

    "That's the plan" ≠ "Confirmed"

While true in a literal sense, a massive failure or series of bugs would need to exist in order for that plan to be scrapped. ZOS has set a very low bar for the quality of new content so the CS would need to be an absolute disaster for it to be pulled from Update 6. They would not have publicly associated the CS with a specific update if there was a reasonable chance of it slipping to a subsequent update.

I would expect an official Update 6 content notice sometime this week, be it during ESO Live or a PTS update which is due any day now.

See this is slightly off topic but it really grinds my gears. What are the Trials people going to do during this huge period? Asuming you have cleared the Serpent there is only the hard mode left and then what? Farm for mediocre gear? PvP ? ( most PvErs don't PvP as much). Unsub and wait for more content?

I seldom run Trials but I have stated for many months that any new zone should contain quests/mobs/delves for solo players and dungeons/trials for group players. Big, new zones should offer content for both types of players. Neither type should be ignored.

I also advocate changing the game so that Hard Mode for trials always sets the content to the highest possible level, regardless of the original level of the content.

Add some form of gear treadmill and you have a solid endgame in my opinion. I agree 100%.
People need to remember that while they might not be playing much there are others that do.
