Was this intended? Easter Egg? (might spoil you)

So I was just running around Rivenspire and found a random book lying around, of course I went there to pick it up. It was called "Elder Scrolls something" I read it and in the end it was noted by the guy who apparently found the book in some library that the book was supposed to be written in 4E something. While reading I suddenly hear some noises and was like, ah nah did someone pull enemies in my direction? I turn around and suddenly there is that Troll standing right behind me. Nice jumpscare. I'm guessing the troll was there to tell me that I was getting trolled by the book? Or just coincidence? Haven't seen any other trolls in rivenspire yet.

The troll might have been killed previously and just re spawned while you where reading the book.

I guess the troll is not related to the book, there are many trolls in some parts of Rivenspire, it could have just respawned

And the book, well, I know about two others which were written much later, such as "Mixed Unit Tactics" (by Codus Callonus, Ald'ruhn) or "The Lusty Argonian Maid" (by Crassius Curio, Hlaalu Quarters, Vivec). I guess there are even more which couldn't actually existed in ESO yet

What made me really wonder was that the notes actually acknowledged that the book couldn't have been written in the 4th era.

The notes said something like "there must have been an error in dating, because the book is clearly very old".
Have to take a look at it again tomorrow, just to see if the troll is back again.

For the lusty argonian maid I think its explained that the guy in Morrowind did not write it, he found a book and claimed the text as his own. This would work unless somebody else found another original.

This might also be the case for other books. Books about stuff happening after ESO timeline however would be a bug.

Yeah, for Lusty Argonian at least in ESO it's been made clear through various books that you find that the story comes from an older oral storytelling tradition.
I have no problem with the idea that Crassius Curio nicked the story from older sources. I have a problem with him being a complete perv that made me strip for him, but that's a different matter.

I know there's an Ayleid HM Temporal Library Shrine in Shadowfen and Bangkorai has the HM Library Cave being sieged by his Dremora Cult Members. It could be explained away by saying that either of them drew a book backwards (Shadowfen in particular).
