Sorc, Lightning Flood, and PVP impulse zerg suggested fix.
People want sorcs to be more than 1-2 skills and they always make fun of Lightning Splash and its morphs. People also complain about zerg stacking and everyone bunching together in PvP has increased since the loss of forward camps. Well I have a solution.
Lightning Splash = Just go ahead and up the area to 8'
Take Lightning Flood the increased area morph of lighting splash and make it like one of the boss DoTs I've seen. Up the base damage but have it "tag" players and follow them, does small to no damage to target it is attached to but good damage to everyone around them for 3 seconds (what the tool tip says already). Keep the fact that when a sorc casts it again that it overwrites so this isn't spammable and keep the insanely obvious animation. Those in a zerg "impulse cluster" will either
A.)Be slowly Decimated by it
or
B.) Make those fools spread out to make PvP more fun for everyone.
This will also help give the sorcs a niche in PvP other than the Negate guy. Because negates are expensive and unless you're a vamp even healing springs or whatever isn't generating that much ultimate to match the other classes.
