They completely ignore block. I have tested it with block and without - zero damage change. Also if you are blocking them, you'll note that your stamina doesn't move and there's no sound played for the shield being hit.Imril and Rillis do a crazy amount of damage when you are blocking, though I never dropped block to find out if it went higher. I have a huge amount of health, resist, mitigation, etc on my tank and both could probably two-three shot me with their light attacks while blocking. There are definitely some changes that need to be made to balance the vet dungeons now.

I am sure it was part of the boss setup and been that way for a few patches. But now with dungeon scaling, people are noticing it.Hypertionb14_ESO wrote: »Imirl has ignored block since 1.3 at least...

Wow... So I wasn't imagining things! I was a healer (templar) on a Veteran Banished Cells run last week. On this particular boss we just kept wiping when the boss was at 50% or so. I mean, we managed alright (could be alot better) at dodging the AoE and staying together, but I was having SO many problems with magicka management due to the tank taking such hard hits. I kept thinking to myself: "Jesus this guy gets hit like a wet noodle". Sometimes I had to spam my breath of life to keep him alive, almost never having enough to keep the standard rapid regen+lingering ritual HoTs up at all times.rophez_ESO wrote: »I'm 100% sure that in Vet Banished cells the boss that has the blue lightning balls was completely ignoring block and so was the final boss.

At about 50% life left on the boss, I was getting so magicka depleted, that I was forced to use the risky spell synergy from the mages guild tree (in conjunction with blazing shield though) to try and get me some mana back. I even had to pop my healing ultimate, which on our last try ended up with me getting a lightning ball on my head and dying due to be rooted to the ground by practiced incantation. Tank was getting pretty frustrated and started raging a bit and the group just fell apart. I was left with a bitter taste.
If true, this really explains why I was having such a hard time with this dungeon when I didn't have that before and gives me back a bit of confidence. Hope we can get some confirmation on this.
Yea thanks for the advice! I have decided though that I will not PUG the VR versions of the dungeons anymore. It just takes another level of cooperation and groups that are able to do that with text chat and random persons are pretty rare. I want to spare myseld the time, frustration and repair bills and keep the VR dungeons for guild runs.rophez_ESO wrote: »Wow... So I wasn't imagining things! Yeah, it's not your fault. Takes a really good team effort now to live through that one. Next time, suggest to tank to use some damage shields if he/she can. It's how we got through it.

Assuming this is directed at me: No I was VR 8 at the time I think, but yes my group could have done better at dodging AoE. It wasn't terrible though. Never tried channeled focus before, since I always heard it was utter crap and the cost of the ability kind of negated the gain in magicka. Also, its not really viable in lots of encounters because it requires you to be stationary. NOT an option in this fight. In the end when I'm fully optimized I hope I have less trouble.jeeves3krwb17_ESO wrote: »rophez_ESO wrote: »Wow... So I wasn't imagining things! While the fight is harder, assuming you are a v14 templar, you shoudlnt have out of magcika issues in that fight unless your group are being tards and are consistently standing in aoe.
I would say use this fight as an opportunity to improve your mana management. An inside tip. Channeled focus, the morph of rune focus is bugged and is restoring 10 magicka every half a sec instead of the 5 the tool tip says, even when not inside the circle. The result? An effective +40mana regen that is not affected by soft capping all for about 140 mana every 18seconds. The small circle of extra armour/resists/healng is just a bonus

So you're implying that a v14 templar shouldn't be having issues healing a fight and then offer a solution that is exploiting a bug?
Am I reading this right?
