You mad brah?eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »I never suggested that you would be forced to use the feature only that it could be an option. If your tactics are to change between blue foods to get the higher stats of what you really want, great. I mostly just use the purples. Your argument is weak, and basically boils down to nothing more than if you forget to eat that's your problem. I never forget to eat and I can eat in combat anyway which just isn't realistic unto itself.
I think you forgot to put in your Opening Post to agree with you or else suffer your wrath. This is a public forum and people are going to have opinions. Some of those opinions are going to be different than yours. So, deal with that, as you told another poster who also disagreed with you.
So, lets get back to your premise that is already showing a 61% disagree rate:
If you never forget to eat, then why would you need this? Which by the way makes your argument really weak. Because you just stated that you don't need what your asking for other than you just don't want to be bothered with the mechanic.
And, for the record, I only use Purple Foods, just in case your were wondering. I am sure you were not wondering, just making assumptions about me to bolster your arguments. Which is also weak.

Would rather not as I don't want to be using up my purple food when I'm just questing.
Also its not really that hard (especially with some addons) to tell if you'll have enough duration to make it through a fight.
Your comment would suggest otherwise. No wrath on my part, but if someone gives a weak reason, why shouldn't I point it out. So far the best negative response is that people might accidentally eat it out of combat which of course goes back to my original position that it would be optional, so yeah...best I can tell is that people don't want it because it helps automate something trivial and they are afraid they might accidentally use and optional feature.
Are gamers really getting so lazy these days that they cannot be bothered to click a food item once every 1-2 hours?
Who cares? It's not exactly difficult or expensive to make food. I have stacks of this stuff. Why are you acting like it's a rare precious resource?AlexDougherty wrote: »

I keep saying it's optional. I have said this numerous times. Nobody is asking that it be mandatory. I personally don't care because I don't spend hours with my character just standing there and It would be more convenient than not. It is ridiculously easy to make the best quality food and drink in this game and it's not even that expensive so I really don't see the problem. But maybe that's just me.AlexDougherty wrote: »eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »Who cares? It's not exactly difficult or expensive to make food. I have stacks of this stuff. Except when the game decides to start using your purple foodstuffs. And I'm spread across several different characters, the game might go through a dozen feedings before I'm playing that character properly again.
Yes, I get that for those who focus on one character at a time it's no big deal, but for me keeping track on the buffs is just as easy.

That's all I'm saying. There isn't even a notification that it's run out unless you have an addon. Again this is something that EQ2 handled by saying that your character was hungry or thirsty in the chat. I really wasn't looking for this to turn into a debate. A simple yes or no would have been fine.AlexDougherty wrote: »eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »I keep saying it's optional. I have said this numerous times. Nobody is asking that it be mandatory. Ah, a sort of quickslot for food, ok that could work.
I don't think the animation is all that necessary or even logical anyway. I pull out a spoon and a bowl no matter what I'm eating or where I'm at or how many enemies are hitting me.Another issue with this I've realized is your character stopping to do the eat or drink animation could actually be more costly than losing the buff for part of the fight.

It is, it is just not displayed on the main screen. Pulling up your character screen shows you the time left on food buffs. Unless that is put there by addon that I am not aware of, although I don't think my addons would add this.

Can't we QS food now though? I have never tried to be honest. I am not a fan of the QS wheel and avoid it as much as possible.

It's the various machines that are pretty well always at fault.
