On the topic of gunny sacks, yesterday I was working through the Rift and two of my gunny sacks had 2 Rekuta in it, so I am now 4 Rekuta richer than I was before.

Also got some green and blue improvers.

Well, there used to be a term for a battered fast food in Australia, which was "Crabstick" however it had less than 5% Crab in it most of the time

. Now it's apparently called Seafood Extender

. "Fishy Sticks" sound like the same sort of thing and a joke at the same time after all it is seafood ostensibly made of fish but not in actuality which makes it a little "fishy"

I read somewhere that you just have to have the fish in your inventory so you can transfer it between your characters via the bank. Perhaps it can be mailed to/from your other half.

I fish, I enjoy it, I will do it more. The things I don't like are how broken and unfinished the fishing system is. For example, right from the start the blue rare in Stros Mkai has been bugged and I only recently caught one using 'Chubb' instead of worms. That would actually be awesome if it was intended, but when you fish with worms in Stros Mkai you have times where you reel in nothing, which is obviously when the game bugs out and doesn't give you the blue rare. It happened to me in a few other zones too, but I haven't gone back to verify if they are fixed yet.

Also, when I catch a green fish I want it to be valuable to me, instead it's just another useless trophy item with no value, that I have to destroy because it's bound to my account. I'm certainly not going to fill my bank with fish of no value. So, fishing ends up being this mini-game where getting a rare drop is usually a bad thing, unless it's the first time you've caught it. But, when it takes you so many tries to catch the blue rare(which pay out good gold), you end up catching more than a few green fish.... point being, white fish are better than green fish, that's just a broken system.

There are plenty of ways ZOS can improve the fishing system, but I don't think it's worth even discussing those until they get the current barebones system to work properly.

I felt like finishing the Cyrodiil Angler achievement on Saturday and decided to pick an empty guest campaign to catch the rare ocean fish I was still missing.

The only ocean spots I know of are near the Gates of Mnem (along the river, where else...), so I rode and snuk(?) all the way from Southern High Rock to Mnem. Took me roughly 20 minutes. Just as I reached the fishing hole and tried to cast my line, the game started loading. As the loading screen disappeared, I found myself back at High Rock.

I think it's gonna be a while before I make another attempt at the Cyrodiil Angler achievement.
