Can someone address taunt bug?

Can someone from ZOS please address the rampant taunt bug where bosses randomly drop taunt and 1 shot people whenever they want? Or the endless loading screens that require a close of the game every 5 minutes??

    @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ said yesterday they where looking into this.

    In the mean time:

    - Retaunt every 14s, not before.
    - Thank Zenmiax for their poor UI that doesn't let casuals track their buffs and hinders greatly their ability to overcome this issue.

    Also: Please make Inner Fire synergy activation a non-channel ability... this is almost a death-wish in scaled Vet dungeons. Other synergies are awesome to use, but this occasionally rolls up in the synergy roulette and locks me into a casting/attack while I need to heal or move. Not the biggest deal, but it just seems counter-intuitive.

    Yes please. Make it just do fire and forget damage or something else altogether, just not a channel.

    Sometimes the first puncture is ignored by certain monsters as well and other times it takes 2-3 punctures to get them on you. Trash mobs even. Telling ya, game is broken in so many ways its mind boggling.

    Its not an issue of the timer running out. Our tanks are having complete loss of aggro at random times. Immediately, 5 seconds in, 10 seconds, etc. Some seem to just drop off the boss. In most cases its not the end of the world but when youre stacked for the spears on the mantikora fight and he randomly beats someone's face in, it makes things alot harder. Especially when they keep messing with the bottom fight. Taunt is kind of a big deal. More important than other little bugs. A bad taunt system equals wipe on pretty much anything in SO

    I like taunt the way it is unless the bug has really screwed it up(been a wile since I have played on my tank). People do huge amounts of dmg pulling hate away from the tank then the mob should go after that person and they end up needing cures/assistance until they have lost hate to the tank or somebody else. Makes for a real challenge for both the tank and others. Tank dose what he/she can to keep hate and the others have to do their best to do lots of dmg but not to much so as to take hate. Forces people to have a certain strat to killing bosses. I dont know, give the tank glyphs that has enmity to help the tank to hold hate better and maybe even give them a passive skill that creates hate or something like that. Bosses are too easy to kill because there is really no strat needed to kill them for the most part. And the bosses really dont have a nice amount of enfeebling magic/moves. For my self I would really love to see bosses that are much more complex thus making people to come up with a good strat to win. All I really see is that bosses have more HP and do more dmg thats it.....boring really! Anybody that has played FFXI will know exactly what I'm getting at. That game REALLY forces people to know their class well and to be geared nicely. But the classes should be more complex to play so as to make them more able to have a chance to win IF they know what they are doing. And it really makes people team up and work together in a very rewarding way and I LOVE that! As is, bosses are very boring for the most part. I want to see bosses that are seriously hard core(not just HP & dmg) and very complex needing an alliance of people or more. Make different prerequisites that are need to even have access to enter the fight. I might add that this will help to put more emphasis on needing a guild other then just for a store. Yes, I know that there are PvP & group dungeon guilds but this would help to add more to the guild. I love a huge challenge where the stakes are high and the rewards are awesome and worth the effort.
    This system forces people to actually use their brains and not their foreheads rolling across the keyboard for the win.
    Bottom line is that tanks need more tools for holding hate & we need more complexity to the game over all!!!

    The taunt issue is getting really annoying. I am probably just going to bump this thread every time I have time to do it until some dev comments.

    I like paragraphs because they help to break down huge blocks of text into readable chunks that help my puny brain transcribe into useful data that I can then use or discard as needed and implement into my life whether or not that involves gaming especially this game as I really like it and tanking which is also fun but not as much fun as inserting paragraphs in my writing that helps others read my writing so their puny little brains can understand what exactly I am trying to get across because it may be beneficial to their life and gaming experience, which would or could include tanking but definitely includes paragraphs. Capish?

    Taunt can not longer be refreshed.

    If the past if you cast Taunt (and it was successfully applied, cause it can be resisted) the mob would be on you for 15 seconds, if you then cast it 10 seconds later (and the second cast was not resisted), your get another 15 seconds of taunt.

    Now, the second taunt will appear to only last 5 seconds cause it 'failed' to override the first. (this is the bug that is causing all the issues) This make it look like the taunt broke early, but all that really happened, it was never successfully applied.

    Secondly, it was rare for a mob to resist taunt. (they really hated the 'your mommy' jokes and always went for the tank). Now even trash mobs will resist a taunt.

    Source is ingame testing. we noticed that too. When we do Sanctum etc, not even once does one of our tanks loose aggro.
    You just need to reapply the taunt shortly before it runs out. then you are fine and keep the aggro.
