Why Does Lag Continue to get Worse????

Fix this already.

Lag is out of control. Even with smaller skirmishes it now is becoming a problem. Also, it is clearly becoming a tactic for certain alliances. When your keep is about to be taken, ball up, spam away, no damage, attackers can't seige, flags won't turn, etc. This simply allows more time for reinforcements to show up and then the keep can't be taken. We gave up on taking several keeps last night because of the lag ball issue.

Zos, I remind you of what your website states.......which is sadly far from the truth. Please change hundreds to a couple dozen.

The drums of war have reached a fever pitch, calling the warriors of Tamriel to the field of battle. The Daggerfall Covenant, the Ebonheart Pact, and the Aldmeri Dominion will take up arms and fight for control of Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and the throne of Tamriel.

Featuring three-sided Player vs. Player (PvP) gameplay, The Elder Scrolls Online supports hundreds of players on screen at once in an open world fight for control of Cyrodiil. Seize, hold, and control the resources of massive strongholds. Utilize massive siege weapons to crumble fortress walls and smash through fortified gates. Conquer the Imperial City, and your alliance’s top player could even be crowned Emperor!

Get ready for the most intense online PvP experience ever created, with The Elder Scrolls Online.

Ironically the lag has been worse since 1.5 got released.

And I say ironically, because everyone thought camps getting removed would actually help the issue.

Thornblade is unplayable. I wish there were more incentive for people to spread out to different campaigns or something.

i have noticed the lag getting worse. crashing is getting slightly worse too. i crashed in blackwater blade a few days ago, while nowhere near a battle....... and bllacker water blade is a low pop server.

ZOS really needs to fix the lag. it was not this bad at launch

I disagree with this. The lag does seem to be worse, but not related to the amount of people in the area. I know that seems crazy, but the small battles are lagging out now even it seems.

Exactly. Not to dismiss ZoS's server problems. But there are certain guilds that purposely lag the server for this reason. Last night at the lagfest at Glade (Thornblade NA), I was fighting above one of the Postern Doors, and a guild of EP and a guild of AD came up there and each stood in one of the two corners one on top of the other and spammed impulse/healing springs etc... 10 feet away from each other. Neither of them were fighting anyone. They were just purposely lagging the game until more people from their faction could show up. Give you two guesses to guess which guilds it was.

Not to say there isn't DC that do this as well, just giving an example. These players should be named and shamed.

It definitely seems to be a growing EP strategy (throw Chalm on the list for last night), but the bottom line is that if ZOS fixed the servers, lag would not be a tactic for any alliance.

Just relax bro the current hamster powering the mega server is getting old, will be dead in a few weeks they will replace it with a fresh one and we will get a solid 30 days out of it before it starts to slow down due to the physical rigors of its lifestyle.
