I have the most current drivers and windows updates for my system.
However, in towns like Wayrest, If i look certain directions or run into certain areas, my FPS drops from a solid Vsynced 60 FPS, to between 45-60. Usually when looking towards/being in Merchant areas or Crafting areas.
At times in combat, even by myself in PVE zones, when i AoE a group of enemies, my FPS will dip as well, like the particles are causing FPS drops, even though nothing seems to be working that hard. it usually goes into the mid 40s and back again after the spells go away. The same happens in dungeons during combat. I have adjusted the Particle Systems toggle in options to the halfway from full left, but it made no difference. I did not have an issue with particles before
I highly doubt i should be seeing these issues with my current hardware. It was not always like this, and these problems i've noticed more since a litte before 1.5 dropped.
PVP is just terribad. about 10-25FPS in battles.
PVP is the absolute worst for this. FPS drops to 5-10 once there is a lot of stuff going on. I know for a fact its not my computer. FPS drops the same time the ping goes to 7k+ out of no where. Last night was aperfect example of this. Red comes in, everything lags, 5 minutes later our scroll is half way to their keep. Not saying they did it, I am just explaining the scenario in which it happened. Meaniwhile EVERYONE was complaining about the same issue. I am starting to think ZoS will NEVER fix this issue. Seems the logical thing to do would be to buy a server that is AT LEAST 3-4 times better than the current one.
What say you @ZOS_GinaBruno
I'm surprised you even notice when it drops to 45FPS. That's where I'm at normally.jambam817_ESO wrote: »I rarely if ever crash, but I am also bothered by some odd performance behaviors. Can't really complain about random crashes until all Add-ons are turned off and the game is run for awhile. That's the first logical place to start trouble-shooting your game. Then incrementally update your addons and run them.
Personally the game has been running pretty stable for me. My system is about 2-3 years old, AMD Quad Core, 16Gbt of DDR3 Ram and a GTX670 GPU. lately I'm getting abut 40-60 FPS open world, 20-30 in Cities, 40ish is Skirmishes with multiple people and 10-15 near a major siege.
I found when my game was Effing up 80-90% of the time it was an Add-0n doing it. Could even be an updated one.
