The gold paid out for max level crafting writs in Craglorn is now 604g per writ. This is a very nice gold payout as I now profit from the writ rewards above what I would have if I had sold the crafted goods to a vendor.
Even if I am asked to craft 9 woodworking items like I was today (which would have sold for 612g to vendors), the reward chest will always contain 1 or 2 items worth more than 8g to cover that difference, not to mention the writ XP. For 8 or fewer items, the writ gold reward equals an even greater level of profit. For alchemy, enchanting and provisioning, the profit margins increased nicely. For blacksmithing and clothing, even if I must craft 9 items, their vendor values will always be less than 604g. So those writs are always profitable, especially if I only need to craft 6 items. The survey reports only add to the values of the writs.
Now that the alchemy writ is working and the gold payouts have been increased for the max level writs, all of these writs are worth completing every day. For those of you completing writs for lower crafting levels, I hope your writs are profitable even with their lower payouts.
I don't say this often so here goes. Well done, ZOS!
