ESO with parkour.

So, imagine for a moment, what ESO would be like if it had parkour mechanics where you could clime up buildings, hop over ledges, and do all sorts of amazing things (*cough* ESO with AC parkour mechanics *cough*).

Imagine how awesome this game would become.

Or give me a levitate spell and I'll just glide over everything?

I don't see a parkour mechanic working out unfortunately.

I'm currently wasting most of my gaming time on Black Flag. Better character movement in MMOs, especially in vertical directions higher than dust grain, would be a welcome change. If this game had TES skills, it could put acrobatics to good use. But it doesn't and won't.

Gotta wait for EQNext (probably not) or till Unity drops to an affordable price and I'm done with its predecessor for continuing with that. The ability to scale buildings, jump over rooftops and climb trees could certainly add depth to the game and push the genre to new heights.

Naturally, in a massively multiplayer environment there's a plethora of pitfalls and unpredictable outcomes when too many player drop on each other, which make its implementation a rather daunting task and I'm not entirely sure if it's even possible to pull it off beyond a 'gimmicky' level. So just for that, I have my eyes on EQN.

Can we stop it with the "What if ESO had i]insert gimmicky mechanic that's highly specific to a popular game series here[/i," threads? Pretty please?

Nah, I enjoy the 'can we please stop with [insert random thing you don't care about]' posts too much.

What if horses could breath fire?
What if there was a /fart emote?
What if we could use jetpacks?
What if aliens landed on Nirn?

Please, levitation = yes, parkour = nope.
    Wololo.

Hrm, a horse that could breath fire... That has some legs!

Seriously though, I'd love to see the horse that Astrid rode, shadowmere I think? (someone will correct me if I'm wrong no doubt) That was one bad a$$ horse to ride, and being a magical horse, I wouldn't think it would be breaking lore for shadowmere to make an appearance in ESO as far as time lines go. You could use the thinking of, hey, it's magic!

That's if ZOS ever release Dark Brotherhood questlines...

Since we can breath fire, why shouldn't horses. And I pretty much expect daedric horses to do just that. Our horses do fart, so why not us. Would be an awesome emote... If on a timer. A long one.

Well, the towers are space ships and wether they were built on Nirn to travel Aetherius or if they stranded on it is still up for debate. And who needs a jetpack when you can levitate.

Dunno, but TES has always been 'all of the above' plus some unexpected more to me. Anything is possible and still makes sense, even when it doesn't.

At least teabaggin would stop on corpses in Cyrodiil, only be replaced with a farting emote on your fallen enemies/frenemies.

Wasn't the toot salute from your rear end a sign of respect in Tamriel?

Daggerfall had climbing. Will it be okay if I request parkour because I want ESO to be more like oldschool TES?

    (Just kidding. I don't really want it. I want Mirror's Edge 2.)

I want the fart emote .. and I want it implemented with a chat bubble.
Walking around the Kings Court in Daggerfall with a fart chatbubble coming out my behind .. now THAT would be AWESOME!

Very basic building scaling would do wonders for immersion. Simply climbing the side of a house or standing on a rooftop without sliding off would be more than enough. If anything it'd be a great exploration gimmick
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!
