Drain Essence (Vampire Skill)

Haven't used it in quite a while, but i now use it on an alt and i noticed a huge delay in the animation of this skill. Especially when you are in the middle of another attack and then use the drain skill, the toon finishes the first attack and then it seems to take forever for the animation of the drain to start.
The effect however works instantly but the animation comes way to late and this is really irritating and feels sluggish.
Do you guys have that too?
I could have sworn this didn't happen back in the day, when i last used it.

✭✭✭✭✭It's been goofy a long while. you can also get stuck in the animation position and have to roll or do another action to get out of it.

MADshadowman✭✭✭✭✭Morna, my favorite vamp! Yeah, i noticed that too. Too bad it's so goofy, since it always had it's problems. Often it does not fire at all.

✭I am a Vampire and quit using it a long time ago. As a NB I use Swallow Soul and the Mages Guild ability Degeration.0 -
spryler✭✭✭My NB uses that combo also, Degeneration followed by a Swallow soul to take advantage of the Mage's Guild passive buff. Buffs the damage and the heal of Swallow Soul, plus regular attacks can heal you.1

Grunim✭✭✭✭✭Oh yes, drain essence has had a terrible animation delay for at least 3 months now. The timing worked well at launch, but I don't recall exactly which patch made it unwieldy to use. I stopped using it awhile ago, it's terrible now.Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...0 -

For leveling and grinding it's quite usefull, cause you can replenish health and stamina real fast and if you have a stamina build, this skill helps you to keep performing well. Later on, especially in pvp there's not much use for it.0 -
