This is a key point... there must be another way to level at a good pace that is not questing. There is only so many times u can do the same quests. I cringe each time i start a new character... pvp xp is horrid now questing is horrid and grinding in VR crag is no longer available...I highly doubt i will ever raise an alt to max level doing all the quests again and would like some kind of grinding option... I guess PvP... but that XP is pretty low for the amount of playtime
I guess we will see what difference the Championship System will bring into ESO.
Now imagine if grinding past 50 would still be possible. People would grind their CS points (which are in the five digit range and intended to be obtained over several months) and rapidly become much stronger than non-grinders.
Its just a horrible situation that we had. Craglorn grinders made VR 14 in a few hours, everyone else needed weeks.
People who support such a system are just weird but it matches the situation we have in the world right now. Some people only care about their own profits and don't see that others struggle.
To even the XP out so that everything gives equal amounts is the only way to go. As a Casual I can only support the decision they made, it will help those with RL a lot, especially if they don't want to ruin their gaming experience by hitting the same mob every time they play.
This is a game about questing, lore and adventuring and not an Asia grinder where you hit one mob for 24/7.
Multiple bugs. What I've understood they are lowering the exp required to level but not increasing the exp gains on kills etc.

At his play rate and the pitiful amount of xp gained it would take months and months to top out his toon. It's simply not worth it.
Some people may be content to level at a snails pace, and some can be in game all day every day....but not all can or want to. Craglorn grinding was never forced, but without an option to move pace a little faster I'm sure he isn't the only one starting to wonder if this is really the game for him.

Not sure if this will help your husband but, with the reduction of total exp to 1k and normal mob exp mostly staying the same, at later levels you will effectively be getting 4x the exp you use to (i needed 4 mill exp later on) so this will be an equivalent of 2k exp per mob kill (based on the 500 xp that someone quoted in this thread) vs the 400 ish i use to get per normal mob. Some forms fo grinding was nerfed, but others were raised. I think the just wanted to balance it out so people didn't feel forced into one play style to lvl fast... again not sure if that helps.
And yes grinding in groups will give decent xp as you can move down mob or even bosses fast and everybody get the xp.

Craglorn provided and option to level a different way and it kept a majority of the grinders away from the core population of the game still leveling through quests. This change wont stop grinding it will just clutter up the rest of the game world and frustrate a lot of people trying to complete quests in the middle of a high xp mob farm

VR3, killing VR2 mobs in Deshaan.
-Solo = 440 xp per normal mob. Can't remember how much xp bosses were...
-Partying with my wife (A VR3 also.) = 496 xp per mob (Rings of Mara equipped.). 992 xp from boss mobs.
-Partying with my wife and a friend who's VR2 = 330 xp per mob. (My wife and I still were using the Rings also.) 660 xp from boss mobs.
-Just my wife and I partying again, with one other player who was VR3 in the same area = 330 xp per mob, second player VR2 showed up = 296 xp per mob. No bosses were killed during this time.
Went to Craglorn as the same VR3 characters, fighting VR11 mobs same xp as fighting the VR2 Deshaan mobs, just took a lot longer to kill. Needless to say we went back to Deshaan.
We have played since Monday night, xp has stayed the same. My wife and I found it to be more beneficial to just duo, we were still killing mobs as fast as they re-spawned and suffered no experience degradation.
