To address the population complaints on Thornblade

Having spent the better part of the last two weeks on Chillrend and fighting the natives there, as well as the false prophet fixate, I have come to the conclusion that the lot of you do not know what you are missing.

With anywhere from 5-10 guys in our groups we have managed each day to take multiple keeps, resources, outposts, and amass hundreds of kills, etc. Each time encountering moderate to stiff resistance until forward progress stops and we go on defense until the night ends. We have been up as far as Ash before before we ended up having to turn back.

This is with just a few people vs an emperor group that can number in the high 30s to 40s some nights.

Epic defenses lasting 2-3 hours or more, trolling them in a box, trolling them by knocking down the third floor steps in their own color keep, there has been no limit to the amount of PvP we have been able to generate until we inevitably lose numbers to real life things like sleep or work.

I highly encourage any of you who still think Thorn is overpopulated to consider...

Chillrend for AD/EP
Haderus for EP/DC
Azuras for DC/AD

The "buff servers" have some of the most satisfying uphill fighting youll find, and if even a small organized group can cause a stir, with more people the map would no longer be a buff server. Stop being casual nancies and spread the population around for the benefit of everyone.

Another really fun thing to do if you are working on your Cyrodiil PvE dailies is to do them on an enemy buff server. A few days ago I took my EP nightblade into Chillrend to complete all the PvE dailies that I never did before on the far West side of the map, AKA Chillrend Smurfland.

I managed to finish all the quests I never did before while dodging smurfs. Good times!

Yea way ahead of you not that you're wrong just no is listing or care and want ZoS to "fix" it either though there's nothing wrong with it. Over populated and all the healing springs and broken skill spamming is the lag issue not ZoS megasever.

Pfft, you chicken.........I've done most of my PvE on Thorn. I know , I should be PvPing well I WAS. It was small scale but it was much more satisfying to complete a dungeon while also killing enemy players attempting to do the same.

I've began to make my return to pvp now that fail camps are gone. was defending Had buffs from some smurfs I was out of group but near a small group and had a tin of fun leveling my 2 handed skill on some smurf skulls :) 2 hander is turning out to be very sexy for a Nightblade. prefer it over DW honestly.

Hit enough nails on the head to make a *** Noah's Ark. The problem is there's alot of diehards who like to screw everyone else in the process. Haderus has been leveling out a teensy bit thanks to the efforts of Lord Fluffy. Also the kerfluffle that wracked EP's core is somewhat subsiding (long *** sordid story there...) Chill has the same rewards as thorn. If just a couple guilds took the initiative to home there to balance the pops out, then it could come down to proper combat. tactical engagements, availability etc.

I'm thinking of a quote Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo fame made earlier this year where he said gamers of this generation have become too accustomed to having entertainment shoved in their face and down their throats, where in the past you had to organically find entertainment in games. I think this holds true for ESO too many people in the WoW generation expect everything on a silver platter rather than treating the game like it should be played: you carve your own destiny, you write your own story etc.

ESO is a buggy ass game, but not every problem is strictly Zeni's fault.

Eh, Haderus is too AD heavy, I actually homed Chillrend two days ago from Haderus.

I want to promote more PvP, not be a part of crushing what little PvP actually exists somewhere.

I prefer playing underdog, which is why I started playing crossfaction a few months back. It is also why I try to mostly play now on AD light servers on my AD toons, except for when ive promised to be there for some event on Thorn or whatever.

Fair point, then home Lyz on Haderus. We need some kind of Dionysis love!

However, besides yesterday, I don't see the huge AD numbers that usually show up. Someone told me that AD took the map on Azura's Star. Maybe that's where they went!

I believe Lyzara is currently homed on Azura since I still have my Templar homed on Haderus. I have the problem of there not being enough campaigns to home all my cross faction toons somewhere different.

Hell I cant even get any of my other toons into thorn or haderus other than AD unless I use the travel to player thing.

people wont go to the buff servers. They are too busy complaining about the que times that have already been fixed for them.

iv been to hedarus quite a few times lately. its still an AD buff server(and i despise any AD member that joins in on any of the gate camping) but much fun can still be had.

Haven't played on Thorn since last week, playing on Haderus every day. Less pompous self entitled pricks and fights are more balanced and fun, no zerg trains and you don't have to bypass every bush. No lag mostly. Love it.

Haderus was a blast earlier this week. The highlight, after EP took back our home keeps, was finding a random group and heading out to Nikel with only Soul Gems to hunt AD. As long as one or two of us stayed alive, the whole group could be revived. Which we did so many times, they must have thought we had a FC.

Most people think there is a huge AD population on Haderus but usually we only have like 30 people actually there, a group of around 20 and another of 10. In fact several times in the late week we were outnumbered 2to1and managed to push for a keep. It was super fun, I know the PvE people will try to kill me for saying this but you should come over and fight us, not for like a day but over a period of time, both factions. Screw Thornblade, come to beautiful downtown Haderus!

:) I know theres only 20 or 30 'natives'. Because I know their names by heart from killing them so often. But I do know there's probably a good chunk of diehard PVErs who still benefit from the buffs for trials and whatnot. Case in point when Lord Fluffy spread some pet dander on Alma Ruma last week we saw an influx of 60+ to fend off incursions by both DC and EP.

Really it's the natives that are the most fun to fight. Not because they're 'easy' by any stretch of the imagination. It just feels like a even fair fight because they seem like arch-doubles of our own heavy hitters. Like that one NB who always seems to oneshot you when you're out in the middle of nowhere. Or that DK who hits like a truck and doesn't die unless you got 20 ppl on him. Or the sorc emp who comes second only to the previous sorc emp in terms of running like a ***.

I'm loving Haderus atm, although I was on Thorn last night as there wasn't much action on Haderus.

As an Aussie with higher ping than my US guildies, I notice it more on Thorn than Haderus...the lag that is. It's not horrific, but there are odd times where nothing happens even with I'm bashing the keyboard with my face.
