Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

So, who is going to play "that other RPG" on Nov. 20?

Besides the TES franchise, I also love Bioware's RPGs and Dragon's Dogma.

While the version 2 of DD is far away, in a couple of days we are going to get Dragon Age: Inquisition.

After a quite mediocre DA 2, I sincerely hope this will bring us back to the "true origins" of Bioware's fortunates sagas.

In the mean time, they are organizing national "launch events". In particular I got really impressed by this one happened in my country... A real, living Morrigan is playing herself!

Does it come out for PC? Single player online, Iassume?

Maybe..we'll see. Probably not though...engrossed in ESO.

Won't be leaving ESO, but will still be playing Dragon Age: Inquistion. Especially good timing while ESO attempts to get its *** together so we can actually continue developing our characters. Got someone ready to play the MP parts with as well, should be fun.

I wanted to get VR14 before DA3 came out. With this whole VP/XP kerfuffle, combined with an AD quest line bug that's preventing me from reaching my third faction, I don't think I'll make it.

Coming back to a fresh VR14 and coming back to a character that still needs to level is a huge difference as far as motivation is concerned. I might just wait until the Champion System rolls out at this point.

ESO is still going to be my primary. Other RPGs have gleamed my attention but hardly any have anything worth my devotion.

I think I'm going to wait a bit, see how others react to it, and decide later.

I'll be playing through it. It looks great. Probably won't pick it up immediately though, playing through the Dark Souls 2 DLC atm.

Well, I don't think ESO should even get in the equation, the "other RPGs" are single player games, ESO is a continuing and multiplayer experience.

Said that, I would certainly not complain if Bioware announced plans to develop Dragon Age: Online!

Definitely will be playing Inquisition, but I'll come back to ESO once I've played through it 2-3 times.

After the recent drama, I've been looking hard at Dragon Age: Inquisition. I hate to go back to a single-player game after playing a great MMO, though. I'm hoping the last two horrible patch messes were just bumps in the road, and the next patch will fix things so I can go back to just questing in and enjoying ESO. But, if not, DA definitely looks appealing.

I'm definitely hyped for DA:I and preordered it as soon as I could. I love ESO and have been playing almost daily for five months, but I think it will be good to take a break for two or three weeks while I get my fill of DA:I. And maybe when I come back to ESO, the 1.5 fiasco will be far behind us and we'll be looking forward to 1.6 shenanigans!

There's more to this in my opinion.

I am a VERY avid RPG player. Classics like Silmarillion in the books shelf, played MUD text RPG games since when "being online" consisted of a 300 bit per second analog modem. Loved Baldur's Gate so much that one day the CD cracked in two while playing in the CD player. Played PlaneScape: Torment until having done every single tiniest sub-quest (that is, an abusive amount of time).

And so on and on till Skyrim and company. And then ESO.

I see ESO as a sort of "Skyrim online" and I greatly enjoyed the quests... but now they are over :'(
I really wish ESO could get more content, I have my trials and PvP "dues" and prizes, achievements done, everything done since months...
But apparently they seem to take a lot of time to polish ESO, it looks like being in beta status. Hope Inquisition will make me return to see a more finished game.

Most definitely will be all over DA3!! Dragon Age is one of my very favorite games!

Even though DA2 was... meh, I think they have learned from there mistakes. I just hope that my high hopes are not unfounded! Feels like we've been waiting forever and I cannot wait to get my hands on it, so excited!!

Certainly wont be leaving ESO but as you said, they aren't in the same category of gaming.

And i second the notion of a DA Online, that would be super cool but don't see that happening and if it did, somehow EA would botch that.

This is an MMORPG. While I plan to play DA3 sure (I'm "OVERALL" a fan of Bioware RPGs, but I too thought DA2 was pretty boring in comparison to its predecessor). But for starters... I doubt it will be of Skyrim-caliber in "things to do" unless you consider making multiple races/outcomes for achievements, etc.. but as far as world vs world goes. Don't get me wrong, it may be as good --- which would be amazing for us gamers, but once all content is done my gaming-time will no longer be as divided. ESO is my primary game at the moment although I have completed several games for both PC and consoles in between its release and now.

On another note, if it were Mass Effect 4 or Fallout 4... I'd lose my way to the rest of the internet until my future self could come back in time and rescue my present self from indoctrination via epicness with some new inherited super power of the future. Yeah. That.

I'll be mostly playing DA for a little while but I need PVP and thats where ESO will stay alive for me. Even though I'm constantly pissed off at the devs I still enjoy this game and it will hopefully be in better shape once I'm done with DA.

DA3 is going to wait until some reputable areas give it the thumbs up, having been badly burnt by the last 2 EA:Bioware games.

Yeah, it's getting some good reviews so far, but with the major gaming reviewers all being bought and paid for these days and with the hype machine of a major studio in full effect--I definitely wouldn't trust any of these initial reviews. Usually it's 2-3 weeks after a major game's release when the real story starts to come out (after the hype has worn off and the studio stops running ads/bribes on the major game sites).

I've had some pretty bad experiences with Origin, so I'll stay as far away from DA:I as possible. Even if it turns out to be as good as it looks.

    Hello folks!

While this is definitely an interesting discussion, it is not related to ESO, and as such we are closing this thread. We ask that all discussions on the forums have a clear topic related to ESO. Thank you for understanding.
