A bombgroup imo would be a group, of 5 or something, wiping your 24-man raid group.

While true, people use that interchangeably these days with stacked large groups.
Bomb is small size, big explosion. Small size means few players to some. To others it means stacking people inside each other to compact a lot of damage potential in a very small area, like a bomb. So the small size refers to the area covered, rather than the number of players the team is comprised of.
Both are technically speaking OK, considering there's no strict "Oxford Dictionary" definition of it.
I still fail to see how this is in any way fun or skillful pvp...
