Is Uppercut the most pathetic skill design so far?

The reduction in cast time set by the dev's just doesn't cut it. The skill needs to be an instant cast even if the damage is reduced to compensate. The problem is that any player can easily just side step or block the skill. It's absolutely useless in its current state.

    As a NB I have to disagree I use uppercut a lot for an open in stealth and it's making a ton of damage if the damage was reduced I don't see why i would use it upon reverse slash.
    Saying that I have to admit that the cloak help a lot to go near target being undetected.

    You kidding, Uppercut is the only 2HD that feels good to use. Animation wise it is the most neat visual plus its easy to weave this attack with Light/Heavy + other skills. C-C-Combos

    How is the skill in any way instant? There is a huge back swing before the skill.
    When it hits it's good, but it's so slow that getting it to hit is a nightmare against anyone who is a decent player.

    Not instant. .5 or .6 sec cast time. .8 is still too slow for a melee skill and when, not if, your target strafes you it will cancel. Its still far easier to just use a bow and since follow-up and momentum both have serious bugs thats exactly what ive been doing. Due to the increased speed of the projectile its also much harder to see that coming and def cant hear it coming anymorr. In pvp Lethal arrow spam is doable and works, uppercut spam is impossoble and it cant be seen as the main skill in the 2h line at this time.

    Snipe > uppercut until the make the cast time lower.

    Which would make it, as soulac described: an insta-cast, 700 uncritical dmg, 4m knock-back, 3.5" stun skill. OP much?

    They still shouldn't have gone past 1.5s with snipe so im there with them. Uppercuts cast time would still be too long either way. Uppercut is too easy to avoid. When you are attacking at range your target most likely wont be blocking immediately so you'll land some good hits. But when you get into melee range, theyre aware of you and will start blocking and dodging that uppercut and whatever else from the get go. Any uppercut you land would be a result of good fortune.

    Ya I have to admit, I think this is operator malfunction not skill issues. I have been hitting ppl with wrecking blow from ambush for a while now and its pretty great. also its super fun to hit them with executioner while they are still airborne
    kinda looks like ur axe chopping them into the ground.

    I'm not talking about from ambush. The skill itself being one of the main damage dealers from that skill tree that doesn't require you to be a large distance away so you can charge makes that entire line flawed. The execute and aoe don't do enough single target damage to be effective against one person and uppercut is too slow.

    I agree that uppercut is a bit slow, but it absolutely should not be instant. Generally an uppercut is reserved for when your opponent is already weakened or dazed. There's a large backswing required to charge that much power, which takes time. I feel the same way about snipe, btw. Neither skill makes sense as an instant.

    On a side note, uppercut is by far my favorite skill animation. I giggle every time I see it, especially when it happens to me. Hilarious.
