Werewolves in PVP.

So it's been a few days now since 1.5 gave the much maligned werewoofs a bit of a shot in the arm.

Those of you who run across Telel frequently have probably seen them using it whenever they can, and this one also seems to recall a fight today around Nikel against The Hovafriends where a couple others showed up on both sides. This one even thinks they killed someone named Sypher when they ran in to help some folks being slaughtered by a very very tough cookie monster.

So considering these and other incidents Telel the most humble and unskilled of khajiit hammer wielders has begun forming a few thoughts on their viability in PVP now. But first they wish to hear input from others who perhaps are wiser, and pay more attention to silly things like math, and facts.

So, what're some folks thoughts on the viability of them now? What have you seen working, and what has been failing hard? Anyone seen groups of weres chewing their way through crowds of folks yet?

Oh and if anyone has any advise on how to fight as a medium armor NB in werewolf form please feel free to give Khajiit some tips.

This one does not try to give unneeded titles to that which just is. Telel is Telel and thus Telel remains Telel no matter where or what Telel currently is or is not.

Werewolf is definitely viable now. I personally won't use it for the form, but ultimate generation and stamina, yes please?

To be fair this one thinks the other four or five people running about and hurling things may have helped somewhat.

Though if the sudden apperance of white fuzzy death hugs tipped the battle in Telel's favor then they will not oppose being told such. After all, they are but a humble looter of your corpse and need not fear an ever growing ego.

The big question is what part of armour buffs affect you in form?

When I have tested that and how items affect you, I'll have a better answer

I just tested it, all armour buffs affect you in form

I was wearing Whitestrake's set and suicided to a trash mob in form and the 5 piece bonus does work. This set gives you a damage shield when you hit 30% health so it was an obvious and active effect.

I also checked on stats such as weapon damage and compared transforming with sword and shield vs 2h sword and this also does effect your stats after transformation.

It is a good thing that there isn't an overused ability in the game right now that does bonus damage to werewolves.

Well right now Telel's weapon damage is either 257, or 240 depending on if they're using their mallet or a bow respectively. Without campaign buffs their critical chances are 48% or 51% as well.

They haven't really paid much attention to their armor or health levels in woof time but they have noticed that the ability to self heal definitely adds to the seconds it takes to die as EVERY opponent on the field targets them. Sometimes they even manage to draw in enough fire that their allies can kill things before this one themself gets downed.

Though Telel has not had much time to experiment with the knock downs, disease AOE, or even gauge the effectiveness of the fear howl as the fights really go to quickly and they lack the add ons and know how to gauge all of that on their own.

But for now this one thinks they will keep the skill on their bar instead of Dawnbreaker as it has proven useful enough.

Transformed, it's still not any better than a regular people in PvP.

IN PvE, however... that's different.

Then again, I'd love to see a pack hunting together as their skills have quite a bit of synergies...

Here's my wish list: Werewolves able to go to STEALTH during the night (in-game server night time).

Hm....... wait.

Now that I mentioned it. Does this game even have night time at all?????

Telel will note than when facing Dragon Knights in that most unpleasant of encounters known as a stand up, and fair, fight that they've normally had little success with their normal way of murdering elves. Elves of course being the polite term for anyone whom wishes this one harm and or is most rude in not falling over dead for them.

However when one has properly woofed out then the fight at close range becomes a more even matter and requires this one to spend less time rolling like a khajiit shaped wheel as they frantically wish for back up to come and make the bad flappity flapper go away.

While this one's lack of skill still means they often find themselves having a happy nap that sends them home early they've also managed to pull off a few wins. Certainly more than if they'd relied on their bakka mallet alone. Definitely more than if they'd continued firing arrows into yet another shield rushing flappity flap.

Oy! I took pride in being one of the few the proud the many Moonkin in WoW. Shoot I was Moonkin before Moonkin even existed. I wasn't ashamed to be focus fired because back in the day when I had my balance tank setup I drew more fire than anyone else. Gotta love it when 10 people obsess over killing the moonkin while the flag carrier waltzes past...

This one humbly assures you that at no point during these discussions are they speaking of, as, and or for anyone, and or anything but the one they are intended to be according to all manner of boring paperwork.

Though Telel did try talking like a scottish cowboy orc doing a John Wayne impersonation once they found it far to enchanting and abandoned it in favor of a native speech method that is far less dazzling to the untrained ear.

Also they will point out that being a giant white furred hug machine has little to do with one's speech methodologisms. Unless one wishes to count grarr, and rrraawwrrr as interesting speaking points they suggest the topic move back onto the viablity and useage of the werewolf in PVP.

I saw one or two WW hitsquads operating during my brief foray into TB. I've been trying to use it myself but I keep running into strange bugs. First off there's the fact that WW apparently got shaved during the patch. Second sometimes I'll transform but my bar remains the same, so I can still use regular abilities but I can't switch weapon bars or camera view because it says "can't do that in werewolf form". I'll chalk that up to post-patch ***ery in any case.
