Solution to Thorns lag

As the title says here is the solution to fixing Thorns infamous lag problem.... Ahem...... GO TO ANOTHER PVP SEVER !!!!!!!!!! So please stop nagging at ZoS about fixing PvP when they have nothing to fix. The sever is fine the problem is us the players that cause the crashes. What else you think would happen on a sever that always has 900+ players on it 24/7 ? Start raining dead dogs that are on fire? So use 15,000 AP points or even guest another campaign go on there cause another thing buff severs are still here cause the PvE players are defending them making sure they have buffs for PvE. Lets take Chilldrend for example i am rank 60 something for emperor and I only have 10000 point .... That's how dead the other severs are. So want lag free PvP go to another sever and take down buff severs once and for all. Pact and Dominion players wanna kill some Covenant head to chilldrend. Covenant and Dominion wanna kill some Pact players go to azuras. Pact and Covenant players wanna kill Dominion go to hedarus. Get off Thorn and balance out all the other severs and you be surprised at how much lag will disappear. Were the problem with PvP not ZoS not caring.

Please be respectful keep it clean thank you.

a great fix for this would also be for zenimax to create a code that forces balanced population to keep a fair and even minimum of all 3 aliances on each server.
once you reach a certain amount of people on a server that server is locked.

I do miss the days where there were two busy servers. When Wabba (or when Thornblade was full early on) you'd go to Dawnbreaker or Auriel's Bow when that was active (or Chillrend after the PvP server switch).

It just seems now, after looking at ESOstats.com, that it wouldn't be real fun trying to turn a buff server into a place players can go when Thornblade is locked. It would absolutely be nice if Azura's Star was active since it's the other 30 day but it's dead on AD and DC side. Hard to put a guild through the uphill battle of changing a server to competitive when a balanced campaign is right in front of you.

I, honestly, don't know what to blame the lag in Thornblade lately on, Update 5, more particle issues with AoE spammers, butt hurt players trying to crash the server on purpose or just the population. I do know that since Update 5 lag has been bad, even in dead areas of Thornblade. Since the lag started after 1.5 came out I am going to say that caused it... plus the Impulse spammers finding out that Unstable Wall exists and now that's all you see doesn't help at all. Before 1.5 Thornblade only got laggy (for my computer) when a group tried to crash the server on purpose... now it's pretty much most of the time I'm in it.

ZoS want to solve the PvP lag problems? Go after players who crash your servers on purpose, and go after them hard, and fix whatever bugs came in with 1.5 that causes it to lag. Honestly, players who crash your servers on purpose are costing you money cause PvPers aren't going to stand for that kind of lag/BS just cause a faction can't stand losing sometimes and those PvPers will just unsub.

Just my thoughts... sorry for the long post.

Here's an even better solution: ZOS should actually build "mega"servers as *** advertised.

If I'm not mistaken, a "Sever" is wherever the impulse simians repeatedly crash the game...

Your logic is erm..questionable. If everyone went to another server you think the lag won't follow!

@Laggus‌ If players went to other severs the bars be at 2 or 3 not locked 24/7. There being over 1000s of players on the same sever 24/7 what causes the lag spreading out to diffrent severs with 400 or 500 players on it at times will solve the problem. Another real problem is well no one wants to take the effort to take down a buff sever from PvE players cause they are defending them pvdooring 24/7 in them. That's why I think all ZoS needs to do is simple reset PvP. Like the map that way all 3 alliances have equal starting point and that way if the PvE players want there buffs they have to actually PvP and earn them again instead of piggy back off the PvP players. Like a simple map reset will help out alot if players are ify on switching a channel. Just saying cause when was the last time there was a map reset?

Then ZoS should set the pop lock at something the server can handle.

@Azarul But what I'm saying will fix the problem now apose to waiting for a mechanic that will most likely never come. So it's either now and easy VS long and frustrating. Rather sit around in a laggy sever for another month or so for a mechanic that make you wait in que for a hour or 2 or go to another sever that yes is a buff sever but rip with AP points from takeing keeps, res, and killing the PvE palyers trying to defend them.

Solution 1: ZoS could spend money to get a server not hosted from a 12 year old's garage.

Solution 2: ZoS could completely get rid of forward camps.

Solution 3: ZoS could get rid of the AoE cap and anything that the game has to calculate because they're to cheap to do solution 1 so this is extremely taxing on the server.

Solution 2 does not exist. We've crashed the EU server 3 times so far this evening with no forward camps down.

Their servers just can't handle it. Period

The server hardware is most likely not the problem at all. Much more likely is that it's bad/questionable code that causes this to happen.

A plethora of Zenimax Employees are failing both Zenimax and Us, their customers.

    How does this get fixed?

Someone, or some people, at ZOS need to step up to the plate and start making the hard decisions that will steer this impending wreck out of the path of the iceberg we can all so clearly see from the deck of the SS PvP...

Bad/questionable code does not equal bad/questionable programmers. It's merely evidence of the extremely complex nature of a program like ESO.

If their server cannot handle the current max amount of players allowed into cyrodiil, then their pop cap should not support that current amount. It becomes unplayable during prime time.

This is going nowhere. This is not a post to ZoS asking them to change pop lock or work on there severs or anything this is about us the player. There megasever can do so much it's new tech most other MMOs have all these diffrent channels and what not look at runescape, WoW, SWTOR, Raganarok online 2, AQW, FF14 and so. The megasever is linking players all around the world together apose to channels were you can choose where your on at that includes best network heance no lag and are caps at what 2000 players and there all not PvPing. What you think is gonna happen when there are 1000+ players from all over the world playing together and spamming all there skills? Were the problem not ZoS and as i stated how this lag can be fix ..... go to another one. Want action ? Go to chilldrend plenty of DC PvE players pvdooring to keep there buffs there ready for slaughter. Still think ZoS is the problem well this isn't the MMO game for you cause ZoS has done more in 7 months than most other MMOs have done in there years and ZoS listens to us too most other MMOs only listen to there well known elite players. Look at WoW lost over 2 million subs in what a years want that to happen to ESO cause your to stubbron to move to another pvp sever? Were the problem not ZoS I admit that time for every one else to do too.

Just close all servers except for 3. A non vet, and regular 2 so people ca have a main and alternate server. You can always open a short 5 day campaign at ANY point that 2 of the servers gets locked (although considering the number of players lost already, I doubt this will happen unless they allow XB and PS players onto the same megaserver).

Also I think your score should be kept on scoreboard for both PVP servers you play on, simply you can't claim Emperor on your alternate campaign, or you get less AP.

and be sure to close Thornblade to force everybody so shift around.

I see zero evidence of that. The fights are just more dispersed, so it may appear to be that way.
