How is gold at VR ranks?

Little curious about something.

I see A LOT of motifs being sold for 30k+ gold, do normal players typically have this much gold and more by end-game? Or do people really drop their entire in-game savings for a single motif when they have it?

How much gold do VR quests give, do trash items that you sell to vendors get a noticeable boost in how much their worth?

Purple Motifs are the Holy Grails of the game. I have found probably a 100 1 to 9 motifs and only 2 Purples, and they are both the same one. I also have about 30 of them sitting on a mule to sell but the Guild Stores are saturated with Blue Motifs. Plus I have a complete set in case I decide to level a crafter. So, Purple Motifs cost what they do because they are so rare.

As for your main question, Gold is flows decently in this game at VR Ranks. Farming a Public Dungeon or even a Delve can gain you 5,000 to 10,000 gold, or more, in an hour. This is vendoring the loot drops, not selling them in the Guild Stores. Doing a Zones worth of quests can get you 20,000 to 30,000 gold or more with no farming or grinding, just the mobs you have to take on to do things.

Currently, I am getting 19 to 28 Gold per Mob at VR4 (this also means 2 mobs or 3 mobs) and I was getting 8 or so gold per single mob in the VR3 zone I was just in.

So, just questing, the gold builds up nicely. Farming, it builds up even faster.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Considering that people were buying warlock rings for 150k each, the amount of gold in endgame is typically very high.

BTW, 30k for motiff isn't the highest it's been. The prices for motiff peaked around June, when daedric was selling for 160k before the drop rates increased.

BTW, if you need Blue Motifs, let me know, 200 Gold each, plus COD. I have them all, in abundance, except for Breton and Redguard, only have 1 or 2 of those extra ATM.

Quests give me anywhere from 75 to exactly 608 gold at vr7, in Grahtwood.

Mobs give me, at most 28 gold. Items I get can sell for up to 140 gold if they are the right type and have Ornate on them.

I only deconstruct green or better items, sell all whites unless I need to research them, and I can easily go from 5k gold to 20k+ within a few hours of focused playing and/or grinding.

    VR14 gold:

Quests give either 300 or 600 gold.

Killing a group of 5 monsters gives ~20 gold.

VR12+ gear sells to NPCs at prices from 50-100 g without the increased gold from vendor trait.

Full gear repair costs 1000-2000g. However, you usually make enough money from drops to offset this cost.
