Clank.. Clank...Clank... Clank.. ARRGGGGG!!!!

I can almost understand releasing Update 5 with a nice bug that affects everyone who tries to do an Alchemy Writ that requires you to get plants.

Suits interfere with stuff all the time, and I can see some twit sitting at his desk saying "Release the code or we will mess up our release schedule too much. The users will just have to deal with it and when the devs have time, they can fix it after release."

Yes, I can see that, clearly, in my mind. Yes, I know that there comes a time when code must be released and stragglers must be dealt with after release, but seriously, that bug should have been fixed before release.

But the clanking? I do not know what masochist is working on the teams who decided this piece of fine audio should be released to production/live servers, but whomever they are needs to leave and go work for some service that is known for major headaches.. maybe EA.

How could this person NOT realize that the clanking would not only serve its intended purpose, but also work to drive some people to drink?

OOhh.. a brute hiding in the bushes up ahead, let's stealth and hit him from behind.. CLANK!

Ohh, I think I could pick this plant without him seeing me since he is far enough away.. CLANK!!!!

I want to sneak along the outside of this bandit camp and gather wood, ore, plants.. whatever.. CLANK.. CLANK.. CLANK... CLANK... CLANK...

Seriously? Every time you come out of stealth.. CLANK!!!

Want to talk immersion breaking? Try sneaking up to someone and before you get to them, you stand up to peek and CLANK!!!!!

For the love of Akatosh, they need to either remove the stupid noise, or give us a way to turn it the hell off.

Is that the game doing that? I asked in zone chat and no one responded so I thought it was one of my add-ons. Searched through menu after menu trying to figure out how to toggle it off.

Super annoying. I can clearly see the eye opening telling me I'm in plain sight, I don't need an audio cue. It's alright to leave it in, just give us an option to turn it off.

Completely agree. I had another thread about this but it is some of the worst sound fx I've heard in a modern game. Sounds like something either from a 1990's game or a casino slot machine.

You can turn off "interface" in sounds but then you lose other sounds that actually sound good.

I turned those off on Day 1 and have not missed it at all. Must be why I don't hear these.

Having programs make noise was cute for a little while back in the 80's when the Macintosh came out, but it quickly got old back then and has never appealed to me since.

Thank you! Knowing what it is helps, sorta.

Now they just need to give us a way to turn it off. I personally do not need added noise to alert me to this.

You should try turning off the monitor too, then! Visuals are soooo 70's.

Back in the 70's it was mostly dot matrix print outs and LEDs.

I mean the clicking sounds when choosing a menu. You know, because I quoted a post talking about the Interface Sounds. Not combat sounds and the like.

I noticed that yesterday too. I had been playing at a lower volume for about a month or so, and had just set it back to normal. I asked in zone chat and people agreed that it was new.

    It's definitely annoying...

Sick of tired of hearing this armor clanking too...everytime I harvest something....EVERYTIME? Seriously?! Whos idea was this?
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.

Honestly, I'd like a little sound effect to be heard when I come out of sneak, but not bear traps snapping. How about your coins jingling in your coin purse? How about sound of feet, or some other subtle yet soft sound effect that isn't distracting?

Yea, that sound is driving me nuts! In PTS I was annoyed with the new "whoosh" sound that ambush does right before you attack but I could learn to ignore it... but this one really takes the cake. I go in and out of stealth a lot and the CLANK, CLANK, CLANK, CLANK it really annoying.

^That '80's guy made me think of my friend and I sitting at our c64 with a new game wait excitedly for the Title screen to load. The title screen for new games usually had some graphics art and took 5-10 minutes to load. It may have been longer but it seemed like forever

OK, this is weird, the only character I have that clanks is the Nightblade in Medium Armor. My Sorcerer in Light Armor and my Dragon Knight in Heavy Armor can go in and out of stealth/sneak and no clank. However the Nightblade clanks and bangs and makes all kinds of noise.

I would have expected this maybe from the DK, but not my stealthy character.

This CLANK issues does not happen on my vet toon. But I created a new character in EP to farm the new motifs and it has this issue. Everything I do with that character causes a CLANK.

I have never heard a clanking sound of any kind and I do the same thing, lots of scouting in Cyrodil. Maybe It is at a frequency that I am unable to hear? Must be a dog thing.

Then that makes sense why I hear it and the people I run with don't. I actually thought at one point I was hearing things. I kept saying...did you hear that....nope....ok did you hear it that time.....nope....
