PVP Death Bruises

I will be the first to say that having a effect on your character after you die is very neat. I like the bruised look and feel it brings more immersion to the game. However it is getting very annoying that the effect seems to persist forever.
Even after leaving Cyrodiil and returning to town I find my character still beaten and bruised.
normally its whatever who cares what you look like just keep questing, killing, running. Today however i am trying to dye some new armor and i am finding that I have to log out after every change just to see what the colors actually look like due to the bruises from pvp over an hour ago are not only changing the appearance of my face and skin but also my armor.

Anyway has anyone else experienced this and if so how did you work around it?

That is the debuff from repentance marking that your corpse was used for the spell. Sometimes it just doesn't clear after you rez properly.

Yep, repentance. Had 2 characters who got stuck with it after the update. It went away on the one character I play a lot in Cyrodiil but hasn't gone away on the other yet.

Pretty much impossible to dye armor with the effect active.

Strange, a dev responded to a similar thread and said that dyeing your armor should clear the effect. Guess that isn't the case, just glad my templar doesn't use that morph so I don't cause this to happen to others.
