The only chance of success against a strong defensive force is to zerg it to death. Otherwise, the best way to secure a keep is to cap it when there are no defenders.
Alternately, the only way to defend a keep is to have a defending force already there, or on the way when it's flagged, and hope that you either outnumber, or can overpower your enemy. It's no longer a matter of skill. It's literally you either zerg cap it or ninja cap it, or don't bother.
It's inevitable that you die in a siege. But what's the point of going there if death means that you're gonna miss out on the rest of it, or everyone gets wiped?
We need a better res system. A res bomb of some sort that people can use to res multiple people. Or let resources be a resurrection site for defenders and assaulters.
Gankers might be happy, and people who want to be carried by a broken system rather than skill, but large-scale combat is nonexistant. Keep fights are barely existent. And they are frustrating at best. I don't want to ninja cap keeps, or have them ninja capped from me.
We went further away from making keep takes fights. We made it so that a fight is actually undesirable.
