PvP Is now the most boring thing I have ever done in my life in a video game.

why? cause there is no longer forward camps?
those camps are a serious problem in cryodiil and need to be removed. the sooner the better.

Camps had some issues, but now PVP is just extremely boring. It seems that they are making this game all about numbers.

Removing oils, thinking about weakening siege, forward camps being removed. No longer can a group of 12 go out and roll 60, because if you die, you are screwed.

They epic fights that people used to have, dont exist anymore. I understand the camps could cause lag and blood porting (which I had no issues with), but removing them completely is extreme. I no longer am excited to play ESO, and I know my guild feels the same way. And its extremely disturbing to see Brian Wheeler say that there has been a positive upturn to this.

I gotta agree somewhat, I zoned into thorn last night and the only thing we owned was Alessia, which was under attack. To get to PvP I had to run all the way from the starter gate to Alessia every time I wanted a fight.

There's some situations where removing the forward camps has made it more fun, but things like this just make me leave Cyrodiil due to how boring it is to run 5 minutes just to get to PvP every single life.

There needs to be some sort of compromise.

What's this? Masses of players can no longer flail their bodies against walls and amongst groups with the security of an FC nearby? Players actually have to plan out their attacks and coordinate with other groups in their alliance? Small groups of skilful players no longer have to face an endless horde of zerglings only to be whittled down to defeat?! Oh, the humanity!

Removal of FCs is tops, would have been nice if something else was in place (If you're into PvP, you already know the half-dozen or so ideas from Alliance War threads). Dying actually has a consequence, people will be forced to THINK before slamming their meatbag of a body against the enemy.

Me personally? I'm going to be farming souls by the hundreds and selling them off :)

LOL. What else is there to talk about. It's the most extreme change to a game I have ever seen in 20 years of playing games. I would bring up the points that are actually BETTER about the game, but those are far overshadowed by the atrocious pace of this game now. And I just got crowned EMP..so imagine how boring it has to be for me to be ready to quit as emperor.

Add a penalty. For example, if you want to rez at a forward camp, you have to wait X minute/s after your last FC rez.

This game used to be fast paced and always a fight to be had. That simply isn't the case anymore.

Also as a defending faction, the moment you are getting double teamed, you have no hope of defending more than one keep (see blue 10 minutes ago, and yellow last night). Quick travel is necessary and made the game much more exciting for guilds fighting to protect their entire map. Adding 10% travel speed on roads wont help this either.

Standing on the ramparts of a keep I got sniped over and over again even when in heavy armor. No chance ...anyone rezzing me got sniped too. So much for game balance...all my mates are leveling bows and shields now.

I was having a lot of fun last night, it's kind of fun to sneak around after your group got destroyed and rez em back up. It's also nice to defend and have it mean something without having to go wipe out the resource.

I wish they'd add some extra incentive to taking a resource.

I'd also like to be able to buy soul gems for AP, since that's the only way to keep a force going now.

oh, and I'd still like them to add speed buffs to roads.

You could send 4 people to repair a breech and the siege is over then too if you are defending.

If you are attacking. Control the court yard and kill the people putting up camps. Siege is over.

Also, so much for no lag. Ash right now just had the same issue worse than ever. Because you have to bring every person to take a defended keep.

Exactly! The FCs may have had issues but they made the game exciting!!! Holy Moly you could rumble with a FC at your back. Now what? Gank slow riders? oh...exciting. AP has gone down the tubes too.
My mates and I always took a keep or two, maybe some resources then went to bed.....got up and you know it...they were switched back while you were asleep....HEY.....Lord of the Keep we are coming at you again!! LOL

This seems to be a common theme amongst MMO's these days. Developers seem to be so out of touch with their game, and are stuck with an idea of what the game "should" be, not what it is.

I think Dev's need to spend a few weeks playing full time as there job, and actually experience PvP in it's current state.

ZOS has actually been doing a pretty good job as of late though. At least they're trying. If any of you played GW2, you'd know it took them 2 years to implement multiple colored commander tags, and the ability to kick offline players from your party.

    Well said, sir! Well said.

I'm just glad the removal of FCs has eliminated all of the lag that has plagued Thornblade for the past few months. Now I can weapon swap, use skills or open doors sometimes once within 10 seconds when it previously took me at least 12-15 seconds to do those things in the past.

Actually, it's easier for small groups to wipe large numbers now, since you won't have half of them running back to you before you even wipe their group from their clutch camp 20 ft away from you. Coordinated bomb groups were usually able to do their thing without anyone dying anyways, with the heal stacking.

Now you face a greater penalty from deaths, bit that also means all the people you're wiping wont be coming back anytime soon.

FC removal doesn't cater to your play style at all. What you need Pixy is a pocket rezzer!

In other news, no camps has killed pvp on Haderus. Having no Keeps to Rez at is frustrating. This change really helped keep the buff servers from becoming competitive.

Absolutely not. We have always been an AoE sustain group that does better against larger numbers. But you will lose people for whichever reason.

Before it was more than possible to wipe out entire large groups of 2-3 full raids with a group of 12-16, with a well placed camp. It may take more than one try, it may not. But now with such an insane penalty for death it is simply not worth the risk. You have to just defend the breach, then go back to the inner.

There should be a penalty for using FC. EX) 60-90 second delay from using a FC since the last time you used it. Still provides fast moving game play, and when you make a good push and wipe most of the other faction (on offense or defense) you will have plenty of time to get siege up and establish control of the courtyard. And that's all it took before anyways if you had any amount of skill.
