Patch 1.5 Damagetable Stamina DK

Hi,

putting this also in the english speaking section for broader attention.

I am playing a stamina DK with medium armor and fooled around a bit yesterday evening with the changes the patch brought. Some things came to my attention that I would like your thoughts upon just in case I missed something important.
I deployed my attribute points so that I reach almost the same values as before the patch wich is (currently V7): 1500 magicka, 2400 hp, 2200 stamina.
My weapon dam is near softcap, I go up to 214 with Armaments and Momentum.

Before patch:
Wrecking blow buffed with molten armaments out of stealth from behind: 2375 dam.

After patch:
Wrecking blow buffed with molten armaments AND momentum out of stealth from behind: 2390 dam.

Before patch:
Carve critting up to 300 initially.

After patch:
Carve critting up to 200 initially, gives less Ultimate now.

Before patch:
Crippling slash critting up to 590. Immobilize target making Flame Lash fire 2nd time for self heal and damage.

After patch:
Crippling slash critting up to 490. No immobilize anymore, so no self heal in 1h/s anymore.

I am missing somehow 2.1% crit rating in 1h/s after patch. 54.1% before, 52% after.
Seems I traded a LOT of damage for a very good self heal in 2H that I didnt really need nor did I ever ask for that.

What are your impressions and experiences on stamina skills after this patch?

You know, I have a stamina build too (DW, S+S). I don't know if it has any effect tbh, but the fact is that before the patch, all my morphed abilities were at lvl IV. Having had to re-select these abilities, I'm back at lvl I. Now, nominally (as in the tool-tip) this has not had an effect on my flurry damage (which I happened to check before patch). Not sure where that leaves us though. Informed opinions welcome!
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

I dont think my abilities went down to 1 again. I should have realized if so but I will recheck 2nite when I come home.

2390 damage for a DK... Sounds low to me its only double the dmg as a sorcerer do and DKs usually are 5x the other classes. You should be doing something like 5975. You must be doing something wrong.

I should have known that some troll would show up and tell us all that he's got nothing to say. Thank you Sir.

The big reduction in damage you saw was not a result in a nerf to DK or 2H damage, it was a big reduction in sneak attack damage.

Crippling Slash was critting up to 590 in a normal fight before, now it is critting 490.
Carve damage is also normal fight damage.
The only damage value out of stealth I mentioned was Wrecking Blow.

Your results seem to directly contradict what the patch notes said they would do. Are you sure your stats are equivalent after the update? Did you respend your attribute points? Are you wearing the same gear? Are you hitting the same monster? Did you remember your food? Are you using a "sharpened" weapon? Sharpened trait got fixed to not bypass 100% of spell/armor.

I haven't been using a 2H on my main, so haven't tested this myself, but you're the first to post less than positive reviews of the 2H changes that I've seen.

Sneak attacks were reduced against other players only.

Yes, I am sure that I got the same Values as I took a screenshot of my attribs right on the day before the patch.
No my gear has not changed. I am using 5 pcs Hundings and 3/4 pcs Mother.
My weapon damage value hasnt changed to before the patch, I am close to soft cap, overcapping with Molten Armaments.
I am talking of full buffed (buff food) - and yes of course I only use 1 type of food (in this case it is blue V5 food wich is +stam +mag).
I am hitting not the exact same monster but always the same monster type (for my tests I am usually using undead/zombie).
No, I do not use sharpened traits. I use critical traits. As stated in the opening post, my Crit value is 52% (before patch it was 54.1% wich makes me think that Mundus Traits might be out of order once more).
2H skills are just Carve and Wrecking Blow, Crippling Slash is from 1H/S line.
As I seem to have roughly a 20% damage decrease this seems to target all weapon line attacks - at least those that I monitor closely as I have circled my build around those.

The only thing I could imagine would be that Srendarr wasnt showing correct damage values before. I had to use FTC yesterday as Srendarr was not yet updated.
Isn't there anyone else out there who made some before after tests on his normally used attacks? Cant imagine this.

Good point! I forgot that. Sorry, OP - not sure what the issue for you is. I didn't take exact numbers before patch, so I can't test :( My damage SEEMS fine with 1H/shield, though.

I would think that if there were a universal 20% damage decrease, the raiders who are always talking about their DPS would be up in arms by now.

If this is PvP you cant compare enemy A to enemy B as they have wildly different stats.

He stated that he was using a zombie/mob for testing. Although i haven't done any exact testing, I think this should be further looked into.

Didn't you know. ESO stands for Elder Sorcerers Online.

They want you to play Magika builds only. So toss your Med/Heavy armor and go Pajama like everyone else.

Ok guys. This is getting weird.

Did some more testing today - and I seem to be up to my old damage again.
That means, Carve is critting 300 again (350 even when I buff Momentum), Slash is critting up to 600. All my Magicka based attacks are settled where they were before patch (but I didnt expect anything else as it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes).
Wrecking Blow from behind/stealthed is behavong normally too. I did some testing on different mobs 2nite (V5) and it seems to stay around 2500, buffed with momentum it reaches 2600. The patch notes said something about damage being increased 2%.

So please forgive if I was causing confusion here. Either it was due to a lot of beer I had yesterday or I had a bug in the damage displayed by FTC. Today was another update of some addons, heck maybe it was caused by this, dunno at all.

Thank you for reading and taking your time to listen.

You are still far from 5975. How do you expect to be able to 1 stot people in pvp? With your low damage output you will need to hit them atleast twice.

To ease your pain: it is pretty unlikely I will manage to sneak up an enemy in pvp and even more unlikely I will get a single crit on him if he is only a little geared.
I spent a lot of testing and time to get my DK to this point. Still I will never be sitting at 1k constant dps as some raid chars manage to bring up.

What are you even on about?

Any class can do this kind of damage from stealth w/ Wrecking Blow.

It's literally the hardest hitting stealth opener in the game.

Apparently someone is too stupid to realize this is a PvE post.

Getting up to 2640 after optimizing some attributes. This is V7 on V7 mobs.
I smell a slight nerf incoming on 2h this is by far too much...
