EDIT: After some testing it seems as long as you don't loot containers they reset. If you do fine a purple page, this bugs the containers and all will be empty, despite logging back in,ect. Me finding a page also bugged a group member who had yet to find anything.
This is not true. Checked alot of Dwemer dungeons and there was tons of boxes to loot.
This bug is subjective, just because you can loot items once, doesn't mean the bug doesn't exist.0 -

These are not on timers, trust me. ZOS acknowledges this bug and will be fixing soon. I have found a couple back to back in the same run, and several times have switched to my other toons and get a page right away.Edited by Sneak_Thief on November 5, 2014 10:18PM1 -

I also noticed something no one else has mentioned. As I was headed back out I noticed all the containers are already empty, keep in mind I never removed the contents. It would seem once the containers have gone beyond my "clip" and then re-enter they have respawned empty. That's without leaving or logging out. My situation could be unique, but It takes sometime for this to clear up, and I have many others in my guild complaining of the same things. Its annoying trying to farm these pages and seeing people in full Dwemer, or folks complaining in guild chat they got the same page for the 3rd time.0 -

✭✭No doubt these empty containers are a real issue, ZOS has acknowledged it with patch plans. Someone suggested there seems to be a timer to hinder farming by bots. I was farming the Rift delve today, got my first page. I waited at least 20 minutes (probably closer to an hour), then went back in. Containers had loot and I got a second page. So there may be some truth to the timer theory. I also had the other experience of finding all empty containers immediately after a relog. The scraps are dropping for me as well, working on my third set of ten. ✭✭I got a Dwemer Sword motif in Inner Sea Armature in Stonefalls, but didn't seem to Catch this bug afterwards, went to the Dwemer ruin on Stros M'Kai afterwards, didn't find any motif there, and _some_ containers were empty but far from all.0 -

While the motif pages themselves don't appear to be on a timer, its very possible that the urns themself have timers. I have on several occasions noticed something very odd that would confirm this. On some of my runs in Avanchznel, I made a complete circle and came back to the entrance to find all the urns empty. Note that I DO NOT withdraw items, I just look until I see purple, and when I got back to the entrance those urns/pots that were full were suddenly empty in the same instance, no logs outs or tp's. So the pots themselves may have a timer, I am very certain this has to do with vet characters as my Vet Toon gets empty urns after one run now, and my lv 4's never get the bug. But I can confirm that the actual pages are not on timers due to first hand experiences.0 -

Yeah I just posted a comment mentioning this, and just realized it happen to you. Thanks for the input and confirmation. As far as what page you get, they all have equal chance, But I did notice that I carried all of my pages with me, and almost always got a new page that was not in my inventory. I didn't start getting dupes til I started using all my pages.0 -
I'm having lots of problems also with empty containers. Some Dwemer ruins like the one in the rift have lots of full containers but I can head straight over to the one in Eastmarch and every one is empty and I hadn't been through it in weeks.Wicked Felina/ Khajiit NB DC0 -

From 1.5.3 patch notes:Lootable objects found within items such as urns, crates, sacks, or dressers in delves, will now respawn more quickly as you travel from delve to delve.- Note: Lootable objects can and will still be depleted, but the duration between them regenerating has been reduced and the recovery rate has been increased.

✭How did you guys find so many pages? I spent my Sunday running through one vr2 ruin (Shadowfen, North, starts with a "M") , log out, log in, do it again, repeat and managed to find just one page at the end of the frigging day. That's effed up.

I think one has to do with probability of an item in there, and the other has to do with the speed of which items re appear. So for example, 20 out of 40 pots may regen, with a recovery time of x amount. So rather logging in to 30/40 pots and then they remain empty, lets say its 20/40 but on a more consistent recovery timer.
I may be completely wrong but that's my take on it. But I have a feeling if drop percentages were not changed then purple drops may be a tad harder to find.Edited by Sneak_Thief on November 10, 2014 3:54PM1 -

I found all 14 for myself and then 14 my wife, then sold the extras. But i haven't been trying to find more since they seem to be dropping infrequently/inconstantly.0 -

One requires a positive value to be input into the code, and the other requires a negative value to be input into the code. Because it's ZOS, they will have flipped a coin to decide the values, then got this all round the wrong way anyway.1 -

First few days, But I grinded straight for days, so dont mistake my hard work and compare to a couple hours of someone elses. I just didn't let this bug slow me down, and kept moving.
