PVP WILL DIE. I GAURANTEE

I know some are happy about this and I bet youre in a pvp guild. BUT....So far the removal of fcs has demoralized the casual pvp players and only strengthened the elite pvp guilds. They still zerg and get ap like before but now I bet youre wondering..... where is everyone?
I spent over an hour LFG, while pvp guilds did their thing. I fought 10 times in 2 hours. Died 3 times and spent more time walking/riding/waiting for hopefully a rez from that pvp zerg that just ran over my body, then i would like to discuss.

Constantly i would ask "where's the fight?". Someone would say BRK mine side. I ride for few minutes, stealth a few minutes, get there, and (cricket noises). No action at all. Then I would repeat this till I grew bored and logged. Boring as hell.

So in the last few days of maybe 4-5 hours of pvp gameplay, I have only gotten 7k ap points and finished one daily kill quest. Spent ap for sieges that were destroyed when a blue zerg came and then when the red zerg came. So with this crappy amount of ap, I cant get siege weapons anymore.
But you might say"L2P,or " get into a pvp guild", and all the normal crap that people who are in pvp guilds say.

If zenimax made a server that allowed fcs and one that didnt, which one would you choose? You know which one. Cause everyone one of you would leave to go where all the action/ap is.

If you dont keep the casual gamer that makes up most of the population happy enough, they/we will get bored and not pvp anymore or at least for me a lot less. Which in turn the pvp guilds will get bored and leave too. Its like the wild... If there is no more prey then the predators leave too.
So think about this pvp guilds and help zenimax figure out a way that everyone is happy... both the prey and the predators.

And if you're in a pvp guild, try it for a few days on your own and you will see where I/we are coming from. Cause I dont want to hear any of the normal crap thats always being said... try it and you'll see.

Don't group up. Just go solo. Most people prefer to pvp solo anyways. (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/137382/do-you-prefer-to-pvp-alone-or-in-a-group)
Constantly i would ask "where's the fight?".
If you look at the map, it's pretty clear where the action is. Just go to where the X's are.

    ...

Am a casual player who has never been in an ESO PvP guild. My time in Cyrodiil is spent either solo, or duoing with my girlfriend, never more than that.

Loving this change. PvP the past couple days has been the best that it has been in months for me.

Provides small-scale PvP between keeps; makes keep defense more compelling, knowing that the zerg can't just respawn and keep throwing bodies on the keep until it is overrun; makes fights feel more meaningful; makes resurrecting my allies with Soul Gems feel vital and valuable to my team; makes fighting feel more strategic at an individual level, because death finally has a penalty.

Removal of forward camps is the best thing to happen to PvP since the removal of mercenary NPCs.

.... ok so ill tell ya what to do find a castle under siege, place yourself between it and their spawn location, pick off anyone stupid enough to ride full sprint on their horse alone, and prosper! Too easy to get kills now that people have to run back into battle... did I also mention that you can join a pvp guild and take one or two people with you hope on a voip service and coordinate attacks on stragglers to even your odds. What if I told you that you may be in the 1% of people that are having this issue. Would you believe me?

Logged in to PVP last night, Haderus, and it was basically dead. Nothing was happening. Reds had taken Farra mill at some point and so we went to cap it expecting resistance but it was just npc's. Five or so of us took it with no problem and no deaths.

I checked out my guest campaign, Chillrend, and while we had taken a bite out of blue's domination of the map, things were at a standstill.

If PVP continues to be like this...I don't know. I feel like I've had enough with PVE, at least for now.

    He was lying to you.

The fighting is on Alessia Bridge and surrounding and only on Alessia bridge and surrounding. I never killed so much stuff and never had so much AP/H as I do now on Alessia bridge and surrounding. They should just remove everything that is not Alessia bridge and surroundings to improve the performance on Alessia bridge and surroundings since everything except Alessia bridge and surroundings is irrelevant.

Small scale back and forth pvp on a line from point A to point B has arrived @ Alessia bridge and surroundings .Rejoice @ Alessia bridge and surroundings.

PvP wont die for now , BUT it will die if nothing changes and they add other forms of PvP.

In the end cyro now is more a walking simulator than a PvP zone , but it is also the only PvP the game got , so people will still play it.

If they add BGs/Arenas that are actually about fighting more than running around , then cyro will be in trouble if nothing changes. hell the justice system alone might already affect it.

PS: To sum it up , PvP cant die , but cyro can.

No. I would just think you are bad at math and have absolutely no awareness or insight into the needs and wants of a sizable cross-section of the player base that may approach half of all players.
    BRogueNZ wrote: »

Those no longer exist in this game. If you profess to be a casual, most guilds and groups will not admit you.

I guess casuals won't be too concerned about access to the Imperial city, however once that feature arrives it may provide more incentive to just camp the bridge.

Perhaps try creating a new discussion here

Each alliance has a buff server they can join if casuals wish to access the Imperial City.

I'm glad of the FC changes. Once you learn how to read the map you'll see where the fights are on your own.

Now players are actually travelling all over the map not just porting from point A to point B. This means more opportunity for fights away from keeps. The problem with what ZoS has done is it's just a quick fix band-aid for the blood porting and troll camp problems. Once the player population levels enough in the right skill lines / alliance we'll camps will be all over the place again.

Now they just need to make it so you can't port to an FC unless you die within the FC radius and things will be golden.

I like the changes to cyrodiil and I find that there are more random unique moments throughout cyrodiil, as opposed to always fighting some zerg because of a FC. Good job ZOS. Now please, don't focus on the people whining about FCs being gone.

Rather if I could direct attention towards forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/138421/patch-1-5-damagetable-stamina-dk#latest. And if anyone else can confirm the findings that the OP posted.

I hade the same thoughts before patch. My sorc is a glasscannon so I thought i would spend most of my time running back to the battle only to be instakilled halfway by some stealthganker. Anyway I logged in and found i had much more fun than before. Sure i got zerged some times but i also had more 1v1 fights that evening than all other days combined. Also i was able to finish off ppl in smaller to midsized battles because they did not have 100 healers.

A positive sideeffect was lag was much better too due to fewer players in the area.

That said i only tried 1 night and was lucky to find action. If I would have been in the wrong place i think i too would have come here and complain.

I never cared really about taking castels.. I just want to kill stuff. If you want to take castles this is most likely a huge nerf to anyone not in an organised pvp guild. With no respawn camps the pug zerg actually needs to know what the are doing and we all know how fun Pve pug raids are...

So for the 1v1 huggers this is a huge buff and for the wannabe kingsinasmallcastle Its a nerf...

Till try some more pvp tonight so maybe i changed my mind tomorro..

That's also what I hoped for. But nope. No one is travelling lol. People hiding on keep walls shooting arrows. Than running out in masses doing pewpew with a bow max ranged, preferably the area between BRK, Sejanus and Alessia bride. Or whatever home keep is closest to enemy territory. Meet in the middle and everyone spams Snipe, until they die from someone else's Snipe. No rez, run back, rinse repeat. No one but a few brave DK's with scales dare to stand in mele range.

PvP is rubbish right now. But so where the blobs spamming camps ofc. Really hoping for some future tweaks here.

I'm a casual PvP player, and I did more PvP last night then in a long time. I normally avoid the big fights because of the lag, but last night as part of a small group, we did a lot of PvP. By doing 'hit and run' and hunting choke points we were able to make a significant difference on the map. Attacking and defending keeps is one part of PvP, and now 'supply' lines are also a factor. Delaying reinforcements for a few minutes can make a huge difference.

Yep. That's the beauty of the removal of forward camps.

Small groups can make a large impact killing those traveling. Lots of people have just taken to fighting all over Cyrodiil on the roads. And that's infinitely more fun then sitting there sieging a keep for two hours.
