I did the math when I was in the beta testing and saw the huge amount of skill points needed to actually master a crafting skill. I then decided that I would rather sacrifice one alt to craft everything so I could have my other alts to dedicate to the various other skill lines(night blade, temp, & such). I have so far managed to get around 75 skill points or so from sky shards, am lvl 18 and have lvl 50 alchemy with maxed skills, lvl 35 smith, cloth, wood, with 5 skill points in each till maxed. Of course my enchantment is only like level 15(that one is a BIT*H). I will say that I am not sure how I feel about my choice though, in beta the vet system was not explained very well and if I new that I would have to do every quest for every alliance with every alt I made......well that's another thread in itself. As it stands I'm simply going to level every toon I got to 50/VR1, go play my alts and keep my fingers crossed that Zine does something to improve the replayability of the game.
Only 1 main character, a little inventory management but not using alts or email bounces.
Alchemy = 20 *Just started, but going to knock out.
Enchanting = 20 *deconstructing but not focusing yet
Clothier/blacksmithing/woodworking = 47+
Provisioning = 50
I honestly think this is a bad thing... They should have had a limit to your active crafting skills.

This is not a cookie cutter MMO, it's The Elder Scrolls 'Online', Zenimax should do the crafting exactly as it is and not conform to what other MMO's do. Have you played Skyrim? Did it force you to do only 2-3 crafting professions per character, no.
I understand that... but it means that anything you make won't really net you any reasonable amount of gold, but since it means I don't spend gold then it works out in my favor.
