Composed list of suggestions and needs.

Ever since the launch of the game i have had a pen and paper beside me while playing, scribbling down notes about the game.In hopes that this thread will be heard or even glanced at by personel of zenimax online studios i will now post a compiled list of things that needs to be changed, added or looked over thoroughly in the game.Any member on the forum may add onto this list or just feel free to comment, but please keep the "hating" to a minimum and use a more essential critique while judging the following suggestions.I have categorized these every point of interrest so that people may navigate my thread easily.Keep in mind that some of these points are opinion based and should not be judged as right or wrong.Enjoy!

System and/or mechanics.
-Enemies line of sight should greatly be overlooked since a ranged or caster enemy may sometimes hit you from behind a corner or sometimes while behind a wall.

-Line of sighting in cyrodiil, this is also quite essential since members of opposing factions may hit you with ranged skills or spells from line of sighted areas. This also applies to soul assault and different morphs of the ability,i have been hit several times while hiding behind a pillar or wall.

-Weapon switching (yes yes yes this has been checked plenty of times however lots of issues still linger),some abilities are somehow visually impaired with weapon switching such as expert hunter and its morphs, siphoning strikes and those morphs cause a visual bug that looks as if you had your previous weapon equipped even after switching with the wanted effect.

-Random unmounting,No explaining needed here.
Questing and mechanics.

-In depth questing!I know that the current quests and quest chains are well in depth but upon entering craglorn i found no interrests in it.While introducing new areas i feel that the player must be "swooped off the feets" for that extra feeling of actually seeing the bad guy and feeling engaged,as if the effort they put down actually meant something. As it was with the current craglorn i had cleared both hel ra and archives before doing the quest because i saw no need to do this.Something that might help with the emotional side of engaging players to defeat the boss might be cutscenes aswell, one example is (yes yes i know that comparing wow and eso is not the best thing to do) the main quest lines involving arthas and the trip to northrend and all the side quests there involving the plague,THIS got me involved and sometimes i really felt bad/good for certain characters. This was alot because of cutscenes, background story quests that gave players an in depth explanation of things. As i see it a new explanation of an "expansion" should be as following:

1.Players get a glimpse of the bad guy, possibly doing evil deeds and are then called to help by a npc.

2.Introduktion into the new area, such as rescue quests, background about the "bad guy",clean up quests etc.

3.Assembly part, gain allies with important traits and characteristics to aid you on the fight against evil.

4a.ATTUNEMENT.Yes attunement is something that i actually think should be part of a raid area. This would contain some background on characters you meet at the side and explain more about the area you are attuning yourself for.(because as it is now you just craft some gear and run through the place head first)

4b.Group attunements, small raids and instances that would be tied to the raid that gives a bit of background on the raid itself.Because raid bosses should also have minions that you have to defeat to show that you are "worthy".It would also be a good oppertunity to get to know your party.

5.Grand entry into raid,no explaining needed for this.

-Quest fixing, this should be obvious since there are still quests that are not working. Most recently while leveling my third character i could not complete the vaults of madness associated quest.Quest fixing should be more rapid since it is the main pillar of a working mmo.

-Quest phases...(deep sigh). This is one of the most annoying parts of the game,i have been so frustrated about this when questing with friends of mine.If i do a few quests while my friend is at work i have to wait untill i can see him again since he is usually phased to the quests i have already completed.Even though i could do other things to pass the time,i still want to give him a helping hand to speed things up.But the phasing wont allow this.In my opinion it should be removed to some degree.

-Sharing parts of quests, this would be a valuable thing since questing in a group would be efficient and fast to share the objectives. For example slay this and that quests would be alot faster.
Fishing mechanics.

-Fishing pools, some fishing pools are labeled wrong,a lake might have sea fish in it and so on.This is a major confusion and should be looked over (since fishing is made possible now).

-More fishing pools are really a must,i enjoy fishing ingames but with the constant running around in search for a specific pool is just to time consuming.

-Fishing bait does not drop for a leveled characters.THIS is a major dissapointement since alot of people have to logg alts to gather specific baits such as guts.
Guild and functionality.

-Guilds should not be forced to have 10 members to have access to some functions as a tabard,i understand that a guild bank may need a certain amount of players to access. In this case accessing something as simple as a tabard should not require 10 guild members.Since some rather have a "private" tabard that is designed to match their gear or playstyle.

-The guild store,i could not put more emphasis on this insane idea(i know that guild stores may now be shared through bidding on a trader). But guild stores only halt the servers economy,i am not saying that a global auction house is a must, but something in that direction would increase the economy and boost sales and circulation on items.Something in the way of a server "market",a specific area where you go to and sell your items at stalls or market your item in this area directly to players. As it is we are forced to trade in a guild that might be dead, thus eliminating economy from spreading, sure the bid on a trader opens it up but i have noticed lots of traders that have no items of value or worth even though a guild has won a bid on the trader.
Weapons and armor.

-Weapon size, yes this is something i would like to adress greatly. While other mmo:s have had fun upscaling items to ridiculous sizes, the elder scrolls online have downsized some and categorized some weirdly. For instance,a sword with nord racial style, does not look like a "sword" but more like a long sword.A bow that looks like a shortbow that could be labeled as such, etc. This is just a example and could be a bit looked into and perhaps labeled right.Perhaps even developed into more weapon categories.

-Adding weapon categories.Everyone can agree on the fact that teso looks to be in a age of time when sword reigned supreme, weapons were made of steel and wood. But it could use some more weapon styles, flails, spears, halberds and such.

-Adding armor categories, chain mail.A medium and heavy mix that might benefit both those that want to be a bit more defensive but have some agile attributes.
Animation.

-Characters animation getting stuck, this happens every time i play, literally every time. When shooting with a bow, then exiting combat and moving along my character always gets stuck in a hunchback running style with the bow drawn infront.
Food and buffing.

-Fish based food! This is a thing that needs to happen.

-Food and drinks should stack.
Pvp and cyrodiil.

-Alliance points gain should get a slight increase, not much but a small amount more might be better and actually increase the chance of players buying unique pvp weapons or armor.

-Werewolfs leap should be allowed to use on enemies inside the keep, while they are on the wall.

-Proper arenas and battleground style pvp with a range of 2v2 to 5v5.This would definetaly boost competions in pvp and even attract more people to pvp.

-Duels,yes we all want duels where you could openly challenge a member of your faction into a battle to (near) death, this would be both fun and learning.
Chat and social.

-Chat bubbles or markers of some sort. This would only make communication easier AND alot more fun.

-Chat animation, this would emphasis on the /s chat, for example a angry animation when using a exlamation mark (!) in the end of the sentence.A clueless animation when ending the sentence with a question mark (?).And so on.

-Social media site for elder scrolls online and forums desperately needs a reworking! For example, the code needed to register for the forums is a joke,a big FAT JOKE!In my opinion ANYONE should be able to register and check the site for themselves, perhaps to see if the game is something they might enjoy.Furthermore people should be able to upload a avatar they want from saved pictures (or where ever you store them) to fit the profile they want to have.
Character creation and remaking.

-Make over mage, yes, yes and more YES!I think we can all agree on that this would be a excellent addition.Meaby even a small quest involved that will grant you access to the mage. After the quest you will be granted access to changing your appearence for a decent sum of money.
Bethesda store.

-Vanity items.I hate to have to buy a stupid pet plushie or other items just to get the ingame item.My suggestion is to add options to buy ONLY one of the items, not both! This frustrated me when i was forced to get the plushie just because i wanted the ingame pet.And then to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive, this frustrated me so much.I could have bought an item from china and it would have arrived faster with no extra cost...

Thank you for your time and i hope this thread can reach out to zenimax and that they actually take insight in this thread.I will continue filling in this list as time passes, since i only compiled this in an hour or so.And if you wish to add to my list then feel free to do so,as long as you keep it clean and save the hate for another thread(i know i might have sounded a bit mad in some of the points but i kept it to a minimum).Remember that alot of this is also a personal opinion on how to improve the game.

I should point out that ESO doesn't have "raids". At least not in the traditional sense. The reasoning behind it is that raids aren't really TES. Whether or not this change in the future, I don't know.

One could then argue that Attunements aren't really TES either.

I suppose you could argue that in Morrowind you had to go through an entire Attunement (questing) process to obtain Wraithguard to be able to hold on to Keening and Sunder in order to destroy the Heart of Lorkhan. Even so, you always had the option of doing it without Wraithguard... it was just far more difficult to do so as it involved killing Vivec.

It's great to suggest things that could be fun, but with some things you have to show how ZOS could make them fit TES. I don't think you can do that with traditional Attunements.

    @Tabbycat,

I think that attunement could work well if they did it right, if I am reading the OP correctly. For instance, right now you can be a full level 10 in the fighter's guild and a level 10 vampire, all at the same time. But what if gaining levels as a vampire (increasing attunement with the vamps) caused you to "lose" levels in the fighter's guild (powers wouldn't be accessible as long as you were a vamp). So that a level 1 vamp could still be a level 10 FG member, but a level 5 vamp would only have access to the skills and abilities of a level 5 FG member. At level 10 as a vamp, you can't use any FG skills or passives (except for probably intimidate).

With the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and Morag Tong coming out, they could add an attunement system to them as well, making it so that increasing your level with one meant losing out on another (or maybe just between the dark Brotherhood and the Morag Tong, since they are more in direct competition with each other). If you want some competition for the Thieves Guild, add a Guard skill line, and have that be an attunement choice, where you can either be a guard or a thief.

There are ways to make it work in TES ways, but it would take more work.

Great suggestion aett thorn, and dark brotherhood could never be in competition with thieves guild since they have had assisted each other through the lore.

attunement is not only a way to filter out people for the "trials" (by god i hate the trial concept).so why couldnt attunements be added?because of the game style or just in general?because it would also be more lore gripping and a way to give the player more lore, more teamwork, all for the simple thing to get access to a "trial" or a key to access it.

There are four things I would like to see in this game.

    1. A zone like Craglorn but designed for solo players.
    2. The ability to craft jewelry.
    3. The ability to change traits on armor, jewelry and weapons.
    4. A method to turn off Notifications.

No. I want tabards to remain "special" and have meaning that "identifies" you with a guild. And to do that we can't have 30,000 different ones running around.

Saying that though, and to address your "private tabard" issue, I wouldn't mind having a merchant that sold solid coloured tabards without any designs. We don't have capes, so this is kind of the next best thing.

But if you want an identifiable design on your tabard? Join a guild, or create one and gather 10 like-minded people. Everyone shouldn't be able to design their own tabard, when tabards are meant to represent guilds.

The single thing that has killed more MMO social economies than anything else is a global auction house. So here I must disagree with you calling the guild store an "insane idea" and proposing an auction house system to replace it. Guild stores are not halting the server's economy. If you're part of a dead guild, your first assumption shouldn't be that the economy of the game is somehow broken. Your first thought should be that maybe you should join a more active trading guild. No one is "forcing" you to trade in a dead guild.

Traders cost a lot of money, so if a guild is buying them and not selling anything, they're losing a lot of coin. These things eventually work themselves out on their own.

I take a bit of offence to this. As someone who bought the plushie and loves it, I take great pride in my guar pet, knowing that only those who bought the plushie have access to it. Its value and enjoyment in-game is in its exclusivity. Just like those who have the grey dog pet, the pig pet and anything else which were exclusive promotions.

Because you want want want, you don't care about ruining this exclusivity. Everyone should have access to all the pets they want, right? Well, friend, you can't always get what you want. That's all there is to it.

It seems as if you only posted to shoot down the idea,no constructive critisism or even suggestions, but ill make a rebutal just to correct you:

-You seem to be attacking my ideas and suggestions,as i stated in the beginning of the thread, most are opinion and suggestion based, not MUST change or anyway labeled as wrong.

-My idea of a private tabard comes from the fact that none wants to make a guild of 10 just for a tabard (i have tried,i even succeeded once but got hatefull pm:s that the tabard was hideous several times so i disbanded and left the idea).Besides, why shouldnt people be able to make their own tabards to customize their look and to make it fit how they want to?Are you saying the gear colours should be restricted since everyone runs around in thousands of different colour combinations?

-The market idea i was referring to NEVER pointed to that we should have a global auction house,my idea was a market that would have many guild traders all gethered in one significant spot.I did not mention that we need a auction house.

-And lastly, you may enjoy the plushie, but some people do not. Some only want the ingame pet and it would make sense to sell them in a distinct package, not together,in that way you can buy your plushie and be happy and i can have my ingame pet and get it delivered by email instantly, you did not see the whole point i tried to make with vanity items.

Furthermore i hope you can refrain from misinterpreting whole points and trying to correct something that you were misslead on.
