Champion System Concern

I have read a bit about the upcoming Champion System, but I can't say I have the greatest grasp on the details of it, but my current understanding is leaving me with a bit of a concern, at least about its implementation.

Recently, the immobilization from the 2h charge was nerfed into a snare, upsetting some players. Others offered the idea that immobilization would be rolled into the champion system, and passives may be able to buff a snare into an immobilize.

Also more recently, stealth damage was nerfed, also disappointing many (including myself). I would not be surprised if the champion system also allowed for further buffing of this stat as a response.

There is another thread here which offers a detailed explanation of the champion system and the "pie-slicing" of it, which also worried many tanks in regards to the damage mitigation or armor cap that would be implemented, which would leave them weaker than they are now.

This three proposed changes are worrisome to me because it seems like ZOS is nerfing our current progression and forcing us to earn back what we already have under the guise of horizontal growth via the champion system. If the pattern is to nerf things that already exist to give life to a new system, then all that's happening is we're being forced to grind to reach the states of our builds that we currently have.

Forcing me to work to obtain what I've already worked for is not going to be fun, so I hope this thing doesn't become a pattern. The champion system should allow growth without significant consequences to the growth we've already achieved.

    The problem is nobody knows. ZOS has not been clear about it whatsoever. I saw the ESO live interview and they were very ambiguous about it to say the least.

    they showed a skill where we could get "bark armor" or something like that. and it allowed you to have more armor and protection (made you look like a tree), they also said be able to summon a fire atronach.
    so if you are correct (and im not saying you are) then it would go beyond what we do currently have and allow room for growth, thus making us more then we currently are. and also allow for alot of future stuff as well.

    Though that is good to hear, still needing to make up ground before we can progress seems like a poor design choice. I can understand it to a degree though since this is an entirely new concept and system for end game progression than what is in place, so I know some sacrifices will have to be made, I just hope it isn't a rampant pattern.

    While worrying about Champion System nerfs to stealth damage and 2H CC is all well and good, I'm much more concerned about them dropping the ball on XP tracking, as well as making sure not to nerf V14 equipment by making everything level 50.

    Who said that any of the upcoming changes are about preparing for the new system? These are balance issues that players have asked the developers to address.

    I did not mean to imply that the champion system was the driving force behind all the recent changes, but if they remove something while allowing us to obtain it again down the road, that seems a bit silly to me.
