Stamina build in Cyrodiil.

You are likely seeing successful stamina-builds all the time in cyrodiil and not acknowledging the ingenuity a player has put to make that happen. Unlike magicka-builds which most times do not use hardly any stamina cost skills, Stamina builds do require the use of magicka cost skills to some extent. *An important factor to consider is this: When your magicka is depleted as a stamina-build, you are okay. When your magicka-based opponent's stamina is depleted, he is in real danger of being killed during a long stun. The only exception to this rule is a Shield DK using magicka return skills and/or vampirism, but we will save that racket for later.

Important things for a stamina-build are this:
1. constant light attacks with skills, preferably clipped. Your main stamina-cost attack skill should be relatively cheap like venom arrow or flurry or crit rush.
2. weapon damage at least 200 unbuffed, ideally 220+ buffed.
3. Stamina recovery at least 110, ideally 120+. Also, at least 2100 max stamina
4. Use Immobilizing skills (not snares) Dark talons,Arrow spray with bombard, even crippling slash. Force them to stand in place for 3 seconds or use their stamina constantly.
5. Have one good stun skill that has a 3 second timer or longer, like invasion or Wrecking Blow and dont lead with it or use it until you can kill him in one rotation.
6. Have the most powerful attacks from each weapon swap on your loadout and merge them into one rotation attack.
7. Wear a gear set that will improve weapon damage and crit chance(ex;hundings rage). Dont be discouraged by other players saying everyone wears impenetrable making crit worthless. Most are not wearing full impenetrable, and many are only wearing enough to stop around 30%. Only a handful of players are wearing full impenetrable. You have my word on this one, i log all my outgoing damage and im critting people as much as im not.
8. Try using vanish potions, preferably the ones with 30% movement speed instead of heal potions. A heal potion will keep you in the fight, but a vanish can remove you from the fight and give you the choice to return or not. Also keep in mind that a 3 second vanish recovers 2 ticks of stamina/magicka/health. Lastly, vanish makes you untargetable, so you can cast spells with a casting time like snipe.

Here is my current build below as a Vr14 Dk, bow and 2h. The build excels at slaying NB's,Sorcs, and Templars, but is weak to Dk's. I ussually bait them or just avoid them when alone. Unfortunately the power of a Dk is that he has powerful damage spells at 5 meters or less of him and also has protection from range so you wont be able to get an effective distance on him, even as a dk myself, unless i went shield build. They arent op, just require specific builds and grooming to defeat and a lot of time to bring down......mebe they are op lol.

Standard killing rotation: Snipe+venom arrow+clipped light attack+swap2h Crit rush+Executionerx2.

1v1 Kill rotation: Snipe+venom arrow+clipped light attack+swap2h Crit rush+Obsidian Shard+Executionerx2(Stun added).

tip 1- you can immobilize and snare players who are blocking.
tip 2- Thistle/entoloma/rot makes a vanishing potion+30% movement speed pot(vr5).
tip 4- Radiant magelight is only on one loadout and it works well that way. You can cast it during a fight with a NB and still benefit because they use stealth attacks throughout a fight. You should always apply on your main loadout too and itll stop almost 60% of their stealth damage on you. The spell may appear broken sometimes but you can check your status effects tray to see if it is active.

I hope this helps and GL!

You lost brownie points at "DK".

However you are on the right track with most of your advice.

-200-220 wep DMG is to low. Aim for 250+
50% base crit is near mandatory.
Until 1.5 I reccomend using executioner as your main attack with 2h until wrecking blow gets its 1.5 buff. Currently the cast time is just to slow. And though the big number looks nice it actually nets you a DPS loss.

I still can't see stacking crit as worthwhile. It takes some effort and other sacrifices to go over 50% weapon crit and anyone who PVP's enough to be a threat has at least 40% crit reduction. That is too much to give up for a 10% chance to crit.

Already have been doing what you suggested, mitigation will absorb all of your damage. So in essence you've just announced yourself.

Don't get me wrong, it does work, but if you're fighting a magicka build with blocking/absorb/shield stacking you will die.

Hmm, I have to say that's a very attacking build. With the situations I get into I wouldn't last long.

Im certain most of the Mages ive fought have died with more than 50% of there magicka left. They could have used that to shield or heal but they couldnt. I am not certain what you mean by "announced myself", but a cyrodiil build is much different than a dueling build. Ive been posting builds here since release, it doesnt compromise me.

Sorry, but I still don't get why you use radiant light. One weapon change and you have to activate it again.

And correct me, but you use 2H only as finisher.

Well, for some builds you can still bump that chance up a pretty decent amount through the use of crit potions and Shadowy Disguise.

Shadowy Disguise alone will give you a 150% crit rate for your next ability if you have 50% crit naturally.

So not entirely useless if you're built to take advantage of it. But imo, it's still best to go for damage, as high-crit builds also tend to be low on defenses a lot of the time.
