Rylana's Adventure on Chillrend 10/26

So today a couple Vice guildies and I teamed up with a couple guys from Get of Fenris, and we invaded Chillrend with a group of nine.

Decided Aleswell was too far to ride, so we chose Alessia as our target, just to stir the pot. Took the farm, slowsieged the wall, popped the inner, and got pushed out.

Probably coulda taken the keep had we been truly serious about speed but I digress. For the next ninety minutes we cheerfully accepted the sacrifice of 200 DC deaths at our last stand resource.

Eventually numbers prevail and we got pushed out. Thanks for the AP though.

After half our group left for the night (euros went to bed), four of us noticed sejanus was being attacked so we went to check it out. Capped it. The other tiny group went to drake and we held sej for the next 30 mins or so.

Then the blob of all blobs shows up. At least 50 solid DC arrives at sej. There I was, on the back flag, a ballista in the corner. Standards, fire rings, but the surge of infinite bodies was just too much for four people.

Then we went to Black Boot. There we trolled our own faction (we only had three by this point). The other small group wanted us to join them, while they were sieging the inner wall of BB with fire trebs, scattershot, and me on an oil dumping it at the door sarcastically. I told them it would cost them 6 dominion ballistas for us to join their group.

Anyway they finally pop the inner, and Myself, Ayrene, and Bogz head to the third floor while the entire rest of the ad group (about 10 or so?) wipes on transitus mages. I tell them we will join their group if they can get up to third floor with us, where Senior Yonkit of the Blue Brigade met us in mortal kombat.

We were up there for about 15 minutes or so, and finally blue brought numbers and removed Rylana from their environs.

But let it be said, I am starting to understand why these other small group of decent players raid buff servers. The AP was insane. We shall have to do this again, Our resident nightblade vampire Count Noodles appreciated all of your rage tells btw.

Most of the DC that shot at me found themselves quite dead due to them not seeming to realize I was a dk with flapflaps up.

I mean seriously, at alessia I was running up the hill away from like 10 DC shooting me, getting kills on them. I wasnt even attacking O_o

Lol. I came late. Never got a shot at sejanus. The other two I mentioned, yes. I've seen mixed skills on chillrend, but no impulse monkeys and no lag make it fun.

There is almost always 10-20 DC in chillrend questing / taking back resources. If you really take anything or push of any importance the right people get the right calls. :P

I have screwed around on chill with my EP character and some friends before.

Nothing new, and typical of all 3 factions. The vast majority of people who are willing to try and camp gates all day on buff servers are terrible.

This goes for AD, EP and DC.

Hopefully Zos figures out lag soon because for many American prime time players thorn blade is unplayable for 3-4 hours a night and it is beyond the shadow of a doubt the most fun campaign this cycle.

I always prefered dawn breaker to wabbajack for the lag reasons, sadly this cycle has no "dawnbreaker"

Besides Dawnbreaker, Haderus NA has really been the most fun for me as a DC solo player when there is at least one organized DC guild in zone attempting to hold a keep. This creates an endless supply of bananas hurling themselves against the walls.

I went to chillrend to level up my skills on quests. I can't understand anyone camping gates. Once ep or ad took a keep or tower, I'd go fight, but those fights were pretty even.....for a while anyway.

The problem with haderus isn't that there isn't people to kill. It's that AD knows what getting farmed looks like. Understandably they don't want to die to 1/5th their number for hours on end.

The problem is when we say "ok well screw it lets make it competitive" and we take the scrolls and dethrone and the AD just says "don't worry we will take it back when they leave"

Haderus could be fun but that mentality ruins it. No clue why people go the cyrodiil to pve with brief moments of player interaction.

The afterparty, attempted snatch n grab @ warden with eight people.

50/50 trebs outer/inner, ballista it down, all is quiet, we got this.

Inner goes down, Hovaling literally standing in the doorway.

Somehow manage to get to third floor, am trying to blow the stairs up, im out of ballistas, noes. Group wipes, I hide all ninja style, rez my group.

Finally get wiped, whisper hovaling theres one left (i lied, they got us), but they actually corpse camped me til i auto-released.

Can only get what is given, pickings were light early on. I think I ended the night at 114k or so. Half of that, solid, just from that crazy fight at Alessia farm.

Wasnt my idea to attack you but we kinda had to, since you were standing over three dead teammates and it was either kill you or rez them right in front of you anyway.

I was kinda there by accident. Was trying to go to Crag but popped into the wrong wayshrine and said why not help the server a bit. Then I didn't even know you guys were still in the top of the keep when I walked up the stairs to check out a strange red circle of aoe ._. I felt embarrassed and hurt and dead.
