✭✭Impossible to tell, you would have to look at all the LOLs you got.
Some will be fools trolling you, some might be people genuinely finding you funny, some will be impossible to say.
Personally I ignore that one, I know some are genuine LOLs, and I only give LOLs as a genuine "you made me laugh, nice one". But I also know there are people who misuse it (no, I won't pretend it's ok), which is why I have over 700 LOLs. (I also have 1.8K agrees, 396 Awesomes and nearly as many Insightfuls)
(I would have more, but most people stop giving them when you hit the 5stars on your profile)

Or both. Happens to me every now and then, then I just ignore it when my posting was not meant to be funny.
It's these young people who got nothing else to do and laugh about everything. I bet it's the exact same ones who are constantly grieving in the game.

Generally if your two highest stats are lols and agrees, I imagine a good chunk of those lols are meant as disagrees. However, if your awsome is also high, you might legitimately be funny. This one was probably for the funny:
