Blackthorn51✭✭✭I'll tell you people straight up that we do NOT allow for emp flipping. We utterly HATE AD on Haderus. I am one of the raid leaders of the Tyago group. We loath the AD Zerg, Impulse, Bat Monkies and we fight them to the ******* death. To the point where we've lost many of our own people to unsubbing. I myself almost did the same until Tyago talked me out of it. We make our pushes for emp when we see the opportunity and almost every single time it's Tyago who get's crowned. He doesn't even want the crown. We just want to strip AD of their precious buffs. Even though we're up against 2 bar pop vs 18 guys every day. We coordinate with DC when we have to and fight them when AD isn't around. At the end of the day though, no one wants AD to have anything what so ever because of how badly they abuse their population and their pvdoor night capping. AD can suck it.3 -

You see, people say this sometimes. But, it's never, ever qualified or proven. People initially accused us of "exploiting" by Dragon Leaping onto keeps. This, of course, is hardly an exploit. Please make me aware of how else we have "exploited" lol. Otherwise, it's just so much hot air.1 -

Also, I was not aware that running scrolls in the wrong direction was an exploit? It's an interesting in-game choice to be sure ... but exploit? Nah.1

We didn't care if EP got Emp. Tyago as Emp is not a bad thing as he is less effective than I am with Emp due to his build and playstyle( no insult to him). Our main forces focused on defend the 4 keeps we had left. We tried taking alessia from DC but DC and EP worked together against us to give the keep to EP. There is a very line that borders the difference between creative use of game mechanics and exploiting. Using your alts on another faction to do something that would be considered "trolling" were it your main in order to aid the team your main plays on would be considered exploitingby the majority of the PvP community. It wouldn't have even been a big thing if you ever showed the slightest regret or remorse over it, but instead it was quite the opposite.
I know one active player in NM who was the biggest caltrop exploiter in Volendrung. I wouldn't say you're all a bunch of exploiters however, I just haven't seen your leadership take a stance that suggested "fair play" was a guiding principle of the guild.Permanently banned from the forums for displaying dissent: ESO - The Year Behind

I've never considered leaping into keeps an exploit unless you're re arranging for an alt on the opposing team to position himself for you to make the leap.
I remember ages back when murder thumbs leaped into a keep defended by 50 DC....killed them all...and turned the keep yellow. Haha those were the days.

That's hardly an exploit. It's no different from when AD has spies on alts running with our core group, or heck even when there's EP players who want to advance their own goals at the cost of the overall faction pop that feed AD info.
I don't view recent events on Had as emp trading/farming. I witnessed such first hand on Volendrung and on Had it takes several hours for both factions, multiple guilds involved, to take the inner ring. Vol saw the ring being flipped on the hour. What we have going on Haderus is pvp as it SHOULD be. Multiple factions fighting over a resource. FIGHTING. Not leaving walls undefended/unrepaired so the enemy can waltz in and take the flag. Not "come on lads take the ring" "Spot o' tea guvna?" "Oh tis our turn to get emp? Tally ***!"
The nature of Had as a short camp means scores get reset every week, and because of the 50k requirement, in the event there's a last-minute ring cap, anyone who plays long enough at the right time can get emp. Ideally it should be the most consistently performing players who get it, but there's always circumstances that pop up. Say it's a patch day, previous week's #1 player happens to work and forgets to download the patch. That leaves the door open for whoever is able to rise to the rank when the ring caps. But that's how emp should work. It should be awarded to the best performing player at the time, not the 'next in line'. Nor should the best players be expected/coerced to 'stepping aside'. Vol you had emps abdicating left and right so they could make room for their guildies, then they'd re-home to get the buffs.
I welcome incursions by DC. Braidas, Hovaling, and AOEBBQ and co. bring the necessary conflict to support healthy PVP. I hope 1.5 changes things I really do, and I still maintain former emp buffs should be removed, but I doubt Zeni will change their mind on that as they actually *retroactively* rewarded players with buffs. The more people realize they don't have to cram onto one server the better PVP will become.

What the hell like 16 of EP's core and a smaller guild group held off a 50+ zerg for 3 hours at Arrius and Chalman, but you couldn't get more than 5 sieges up at Rayles or Warden? Aww, but you guys are my favorite. I'm being sincere, I always enjoy fighting EP. Even when I die, I have fun. When I die to DC it's usually just frustrating, but with you guys it's usually awesome. You spread out, and then group up, then spread out, you sneak around behind us when we're breaching, you guys are interesting and dynamic fighters. And my deaths to y'all are usually epic.
I remember the other day at the Altadoon gate I had been fighting a sorc until the point we were both drained. He bolt escaped and went into hiding. I retreating manueverd and pursued. I was standing on a rock when I spotted him just below me with but a scrap of life. I leapt off the rock flinging arrows like mad, the blood lust swelling within me. I could taste his blood and it was delicious. When I was just above his head and he was one arrow away from dead, he pulled out the biggest two hander I'd ever seen, and slammed it right into my face, killing me in mid air.

I wasn't in NM back in Volendrung days. However, the caltrops bug was used universally. No bans were handed out for it. Also, the banning was not for the Dragon Leaping per se, but because of the volume of people reporting. Also, only one of us was ever banned at all and it was immediately removed upon ZoS actually looking into the issue as opposed to relying on their autoban when a certain player is reported a certain amount of times in a certain time period.0 -

I understand your hate, I truly do. Remember that there are a few innocent AD players too and we dislike some of the crap we see happen. Some of us have even written(numerous times) to Zenimax about some of these issues and have not seen a workaround yet...
