The problem is you'll be dead before you even realize it. The only time they aren't dead in a 1 second burst is if they are blocking or shield stacked already. On the rare occasion they may have too high of health for me to burst down but almost no one is that high.
Remind you, my NB is v12 with purple clothes and purple enchants. I don't have any doubt in my mind i cant 1 second burst you or any other player from stealth with you being unaware its coming and not holding block the entire time.Formerly @Persian_Princess .. Now @Asgari

Hova is a good DK but all his builds and playstyles are larger scale open world. You rely on one move its easy to avoid. I usually cant be skilled from a snipe from one person .0

If you PvP i could show you. Defeats the entire purpose of a gank build if im meeting you in a location where you know the attack is coming.

✭✭✭✭I don't understand the debate in this thread. Yeh, a stamina NB that catches you completely unaware is most likely going to kill you as of 1.4. The only real exception is if you are in heavy armor.

As someone who agrees with you, the flipside of that is your 1v1 fear spamming build is effectively worthless in large scale raids.
You can take solace in thinking well jeez I can beat anyone in their guild 1v1 all you want, but it wont matter much when their zerg train impulse spams you down.2 -

its not really "fear spaming" I use fear when the immunity is gone its like reapplying a dot or any other skill. Overall My build is more effective in open world even ganking its better and serves more purpose with heals and DPS0 -

By "so many" you mean a few. There are not that many people in No Mercy. Your hyperbolic selection of words suggests a thinly veiled attempt to peacock. So, I will now explain. We are not "great" at larger scale pvp; we are great at pvp. The objectives, skills, and map layout are all oriented towards group play at various levels. Yes, you can marshal your class skills for dueling purposes, but it is a subset of actual pvp and irrelevant to the actual broader game context.
Duelists' inability (willful or not!) to succeed in larger scale pvp but excel in mano a mano scenarios or even 2v2, 3, or 4 scenarios only indicates their preference for a style of pvp which is derivative and subset. Thus, it is irrelevant to the broader game context. You, thus, are attempting to highlight your irrelevance. I remember once a certain guild leader of a certain dueling guild attempted to get emperor on Azura's Star when it first opened. This group was filled with duelists. I was convinced to help because this was before said guild leader revealed to me that he was a bit of a [snip]. The attempt was utterly flattened by AD pugs with a few token AD people that I recognized, and the overall number was roughly even. Make of this what you will, but the conclusion should be obvious. A good duelist a good pvp'er does not make!

That would be me. We were outnumbered and weren't taking on pugs. We were fighting off two organized guilds (Tko and Decibel) and all we had was a bunch of people we threw together in a short period of time.
I have played in groups before and preformed well, I just don't find it as fun as running solo. Problem?

There were elements of TKO and Decibel sure. But it was far from a full showing. The group was never woefully outnumbered, just woefully out group-played.1 -
Araxleon✭✭✭✭✭The magicka NB build in AvA is overall better than the sniper build. 1v1 or grouplay. I guess if we go off what you said than it seems a few of the people in no mercy are useless and don't help in AvA like your fellow snipers here that are single target3

22 versus 7 is not "roughly even" by anyone's standards.
i don't generally come into these threads. the hugbox gets a little dull after the first minute. what i can't respect is when someone unsuspecting comes in to comment, critique, or god forbid challenge you in a pvp setting, you all gang up to flame them even if they never went out of their way to insult you. the fragility and pettiness is really unbecoming of people who'd like others to think they're good pvp players.
if you wanna talk about peacocking and posturing things to suit you, well...

Araxleon✭✭✭✭✭dueling and soloing helps to train people in things you don't get from purely group play. you begin to learn the cues. not everyone wants to roll around in a train, and playstyles other than yours are not rendered invalid just because you don't play them. if you want to get into the semantics of what is "real pvp" and what is controlled and derivative, i'd suggest referencing to it by AvA instead, as anyone who plays any video game can tell you that pvp refers to an umbrella of styles which involve player versus player - group vs group OR dueling.5
