Let me first say, the reason i make a new topic about this is because im affraid my reaction isn't seen if i react to one of the existing topics about this issue.
The second reason is that i really do not want to see the camps removed from the game. I think to much people would actually bore from walking to much and quit the game then play more actively if they were removed.
But if Zenimax does considder to change or remove forward camps i might as wel give two suggestions how i think it could work.
Both the lovers and the haters would have to reach a middle ground and compensate. If people are to hard headed we might have 200 new topics by the end of next year.
Idea 1, miniprovinces
Each keep would be devided by mini provinces. People who die are still able to ress at an owned and connected keep just like it works now. Exept, if a forward camp is placed people can only res at the forward camp in the province that they died in.
This would cripple bloodporting to a sertain way. Could still ress at one owned faction keeps. But not if it's under siege and also not at the forward camp in that miniprovince (if one is placed down)
This would also eliminate troll camps to a sertain way. Troll camps would still exist. But if i now would place a camp in the miniprovince surrounding sejanus it wouldn't block the camp placed at blue road keep. Camps would lose their radius, but in the change that province can only hold one forward camp.
Idea 2 the removal of camps and the comming for ressurection points
Recources are at keeps for a reason. Porting to other connected keeps and ranking points. But lets give it a far more better reason to own recources.
Ressurection points. This idea wouln't eliminate blood porting unless you also work with the miniprovinces.
The idea is that each of the 3 recources around a keep give the local keep ressurection keep ticks. these ticks could be every 10 seconds. If your faction would own all 3 recources it would give the keep 3 ressurection points each 10 seconds with an maximum amount of 200 points. These points would be displayed on the map if you press M to look at the map.
While beeing under siege you can still ress at the keep as long at the keep has ressurection points. These ressurection points also tick/repelish while beeing under siege,
If you attack and take a recource, the local keep displayes your faction ressurection points, but instead you can only ressurect at the recource flag. The points start at 0 and repelish the same way as if you would own the keep. So if you want to make a succesfull siege. capture the recources to repelish your siege ressurection points and stop the repelish points of the local defenders.
If you attack and lose the 3 recources your ressurection points are lost. if you defend and lose the 3 recources your local ressurection points wouln't be lost. Unless ofcours 200 people ress at the keep and the ressurection points reach
Personally i like the first idea more and it would keep alot more people happy then the second idea. The reason is that i like long battles. In the case of defending arrius. It would be impossible to keep arrius when both the altmeri and daggers are attacking and taking our recource ressurection points. Arrius would be lost in minutes. The same goes for the other factions that face 2 other factions sieging their local keep.
I hope this was readable. I probably wrote alot of words the wrong way, as long as you understand what i mean. If you don't ill continue in dutch, see if you can understand me then.
