Using vampirism, being werewolf and such in quests..

There has been some situations where i am an vampire for example and quest needs something from vampires or vampires who just do not recognize you as vampire.. Quests where you need to be undead to do something, yet your vampirism is not recognized as being undead..

Latest incident is when you need vampire blood to help Skald king.. I should have at least an option to offer my own blood as aid in that.. Why not even skip that part if i am a vampire by just aiding kinf and getting a bit more exp than doing the whole chain?

How do you feel about this? Should or should not vampirism, being werewolf and such be considered when making choices in quests and quest conversations?

I assume it is same for werewolves..

They typically (well... every case I have seen thus far) tie it to the actual clan or line. For the example you gave, the blood needed to be from the line of the vampire from the quest.

Welcome to TES , where half the time people wont even notice things you are or that you have done and will talk while ignoring them.

Hell , the fact that ESO has one path you follow instead of being open unlike the other TES games already made this a hundred times better than what it usually is.

It would be a lot of work for the devs to go back and edit "low level" content. They just spent months doing the facial animations. I don't think they are going to go back and refine quests. If anything, they will do a better job of including Vampire/Werewolf stuff in later zones they release. Don't expect it to be added to current content.

I expect nothing, just like everyone else should with what ever they want. We can only wish and see what people at Zenimax think about our wishes.

Well if you just skipped the quest because you were a vampire, wouldn't we have people complaining that the lost out on XP.

I know most would understand that skipping a quest would mean you don't get the XP for that quest, but someone would complain that they didn't realise. And I really hate to think of them posting their idiotic gripping.

Somebody's bound to complain either way. We're complaining now that nobody notices we're undead.

Probably not an issue really, I think a lot of people are severely overleveled for the zone they're in. Lots of VR1's running around in the early areas of Coldharbor for example.

I agree that it is sort of moronic for vampires not to recognize my white khajit running around when they are speaking to me. I like the idea of there being options that play to your specific character and world based themes like vampire and werewolf effects. I thought it was dumb when I was doing pact missions and stumbled upon the elder vampire and his son griping and nobody recognized that I was in fact a vampire also. The blood option for the skald king is cool too. Even if vampirism let you "skip parts" it could and should count as quest completion for those few times it does this. Maybe they could have also added things that make being a vampire or werewolf more difficult to complete a quest to balance it if it's that often. i doubt it would occur much but it would help immersion. I doubt they'll ever add/edit or change this stuff but it struck me as another moment when I thought; "man its too bad nobody in storyline or development teams thought of this ahead of time." Tapio75, I totally get what your talking about here. :)

Is a little breaking to hear "Die Bloodsuckers" when you are one yourself...

It's a single bit to check, in code. Hopefully they offer some other alternatives (at least in dialogue) based on it in the future.

(I was pleased that there is an additional dialogue response option to Irrai the Twilight if you are there as a Vet. Nice touch)
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

There is at least one call out for being a werewolf that makes sense. I think it's one of the quests in Bangkorai where you "save" a village of werewolves from a woman bent on warping them for her nefarious uses.

At the end the werewolf you help asks you how you learned to deal with your own problems of being a werewolf. If you've "mastered" the skill (I assume this only happens if you've reached skill rank 10 in Werewolf) it gives you a chance to say something about it.

I hoped to find more content like that but that's the only one I've come across. Still, it shows somebody at Zenimax was thinking about this issue.

The ridiculous situations you find yourself in when playing a vampire or werewolf through the quests is exactly why I believe people when they say ZoS did not originally intend to HAVE playable vampires and werewolves. It would also go a long way towards explaining the half baked condition we got them in. I do have some hope that future content will begin to address this issue but as the post I've quoted above says, it's unlikely they'll do anything about all the terrible quests you currently encounter.

That lack of continuity is near constant for a whole lot more things than vampires and werewolves. Argonians get it near constantly. On top of that, there is a pretty fair number of quests---including the main story line---with a big reveal that you'd figured out two /played days earlier that your character is apparently outraged or confused, and at the very least, surprised about.

Also, why am I constantly saying "how can I help?" or some derivative of this? I'd guess at least three quarters of the quests get rolling with "how can I help?". I realize there has to be a way to involve yourself, but frankly when we walk around and the NPC's can't hear us, I think they giggle and point and call us the "how can I help?" guy, then go on a long conversation about "great fighter, but a little socially awkward" topics.

Case and point. The skeleton quests in Coldharbour in the northeast corner. A skeleton walks through the door and it's named "Argonian Skeleton" but it's clearly human or mer.
