shadowz081✭✭✭No, and they shouldn't because it's a terrible idea.While I am not against min-maxers or cookie cutter builds, since using them myself to a degree, I still find it a horrible idea. As every time the meta change, there will most likely be a mass migration of race that synergises with the current FOTM build. For example, now the FOTM is still magicka, despite stam buffs, as magicka still have a utility advantage for most cases, everyone running staff and LA, having picked a diff race aside from breton, high elf or dark elf will migrate to one of these three races.
Similarly if ZoS 'over buffs' stamina in the future where it becomes much better than magicka, we will see mass migration of races to redguards and such. It will make the choice you pick in the beginning quite pointless.
Secondly, the ES series is well famed for it is adherence to the lore, and while you can race change is the single player game via mods or consoles commands, the developers might have a hard time explaining why you can change races in game, and anything they come up with would probably sound stupid and make everyone sigh and facepalm.1 -

I know this is an ESO forum so people have to be hyperbolic but some of the replies here are a bit much. Such needlessly strong reactions make me wonder how many here picked their race purely based upon strong racials and don't want others to switch to them. We all know the answer isn't zero.4

That would be fair *if* circumstances didn't change all the time in mmos. I chose the race I wanted for my build according to math and what was best at the time and then circumstances change later and it's no longer good for reasons outside of my control, so why should I have to stay locked into it if I don't want to?
Also, I'll never understand why people can so adamantly oppose options that won't affect them at all if they don't use them. "I don't want it so you can't have it, ha!" If yo don't want it, don't use it, nothing will change for you.

You are in for a treat mate , in this forum atleast half the players will oppose to options that dont affect them , but you still shouldnt have lols.

Race bonuses are very minimal in any case and I think ZOS will prolly end up changing some of those.4 -

This is objectively not true. In direct comparison, there is an effective span of +-22% health, all other things being equal, between the best and the worst race for a build.
Of course it's not always like that, but if numbers such as these aren't substantial I wouldn't know what is.3 -

Numberswise, in the end, when you're tanking, healing or DPSing, the results difference is marginal and that is all that counts. Only thing nice about Dunmer is that it does give a notable advantage with the fire resistance so was nice for vamps, then again, vamp is getting nerfed to the underground so

Full respec will be created so you will get back to char creation screen and create your char and then get back to the game with all your exp and SP.

IMHO if, with the benefit of hindsight, it is considered by ZOS that the balance between the races isn't correct then the right answer is not to allow people to change races; but instead to tweak the racial skill lines to (re)gain balance.

Dunmer:
(1) +1400 Fire Resist - basically gives you an extra jewelry enchantment slot
(2) +9% Magicka and +6% Stamina - basically gives you 30 extra attribute points for your character. If marginal, why don't you reset your attributes on your char and simply don't use 30 of them, lol.
(3) +7% Fire damage - huge boost considering the lengths that people go even to add a marginal gain in dps
